The name "Yano" is likely derived from the Pilipino word meaning 'simple; plain'.

Along with that of Daboyel, the base at Yano supports naval patrol operations in the central cluster of the subsector.

Solomani Security keeps a close eye on things to ensure the security of the Solomani State and the well-being of its loyal citizens. Almost anyone could be a SolSec informant, passing on all sorts of useful information: some gain a reward or benefit for their actions, others are coerced, while many see it as an act of duty to help protect the the State and its interests.

World Starport (Sp)

Yano has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

This world is the site of both a Solomani Navy and Army base.

These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended.
