Veppim is an agricultural, nonindustrial, pre-rich world with a growing agro-economy, but still lacks an adequate population to expand its economy to a rich status.
- As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- This world has promising economic future although it needs to recruit a larger labor force in order to achieve the desired prosperity.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Theton Subsector of Vland Sector in the Domain of Vland.
- This is a temperate world, with a climate of pleasant, average temperatures, considered to be an ideal or near-ideal environment by many different sophont species.
- Veppim is located on the Vilani Main.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Veppim has a solitary primary star.
- It is a red main sequence.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- An extremely hot vacuum worldlet orbiting within the inner system, very close to the star. It is designated alpha (α).
- Rushing, an Ice Giant with a family of moons, orbiting within the habitable zone.
- Veppim, a temperate, dense atmosphere agricultural world designated as the mainworld, is its second moon.
- Oram, a small heavily cratered vacuum world orbiting within the outer system.
- Two small ice capped vacuum worlds orbiting within the outer system. They are designated beta (β) and gamma (γ) respectively.
- A frigidly cold insidious atmosphere superterran world orbiting within the cold outer system. It is designated delta (δ).
- A tiny vacuum worldlet orbiting within the cold outer system. It is designated epsilon (ε).
- Murtha, an outer system large gas giant with an extensive family of moons.
- Mayerka, a large ringed gas giant orbiting within the deep outer system.
- Jardine, a large gas giant that marks the edge of the system.

Mainworld Data[edit]
Veppim is a major moon of the Ice Giant Rushing.
Rushing retains retains four major moons:
- J'bara, a tiny irradiated vacuum worldlet.
- Veppim, a temperate, dense atmosphere agricultural world designated as the mainworld.
- Greenrock, an arid trace atmosphere world.
- Falling, a small, heavily cratered vacuum world.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Veppim is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Veppim has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Veppim has 35-45% of its surface covered by liquid water. There will be a number of small seas or one larger body of water. Wilderness refueling is possible.

World Starport (St)[edit]
Veppim has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.

Veppim has a population of 700,000 sophonts (hundreds of thousands).
- This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.

Veppim possesses a Technology Level of TL–7.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early video and early satellite communication networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fuel cells, solar energy, and geothermal power sources.

- Land: Improved automobiles, hovercraft, and bullet trains.
- Water: Hydrofoils and early triphibians.
- Air: Hang gliders and supersonic jets.
- Space: Deep space probes and interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
World Government (G)[edit]
Veppim is governed by a Participatory Democracy where eligible voters determine laws and policy. What determines an eligible voter varies. There may be smaller councils or regional bodies to write the policies voted on. Leadership of the government and all members of the bureaucracy are determined by voting population.
World Law (L)[edit]
Veppim has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Light assault weapons, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

Veppim, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of three members of the Imperial Nobility, who are charged with overseeing the world.

- -2204 to -1776: the Rule of Man administers the worlds of the region.
- -1776 to 0: the Long Night. There is widespread regression within the area and some worlds become barren.
- The Year 0: the Third Imperium is founded.
- 300-420: the First Survey charts the system.
- 604 to 622: the Imperial Civil War. The region suffers disruption and widespread economic issues.
- 624: the Express Boat Network is established, facilitating communications, trade, and economic growth within the area.
- 995-1065: the Second Survey charts the system.
- 1065: the Second Survey is published. Information about the system becomes widely available.
