Mainworld Data[edit]

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Sixty-One is a member of the Lode Cluster, a cluster and trade route lying across the border between Massilia Sector and Zarushagar Sector.

The name of the mainworld dates from the early years of Imperial expansion, when resource exploration rights within the system were granted to Ling Standard Products. Various promising locations were identified among the many planets and moons and survey outposts were established. Site 61 – located on the most hospitable of the system's worlds and containing the richest easily extractable lode – became the site of the world's starport and the location of a small, lawless community offering all manner of "distractions" to the LSP crews, with the planet being elevated to mainworld status as a result. Eventually the port and outpost, by then simply known as Sixty-One, lent its name to the world and the system, becoming something of a byword for debauchery and sin. Though LSP have long since ceased operations within the system, the world still offers all manner of commodities, services, and entertainments to passing ship crews.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Sixty-One has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)[edit]

Sixty-One has a population of 90 sophonts (tens).

  • This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without significant outside assistance. This may represent a transient population such as the crew of a starship, the final survivors of a dying colony, an advance team setting up to receive colonists, or a small outpost where establishing a colony is not the primary objective.

Linguistic Topography[edit]

The most commonly heard languages are:

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Sixty-One possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)[edit]

Sixty-One has no central government or substantial government apparatus; an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.

World Law (L)[edit]

Sixty-One has a low law level. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate. Portable energy weapons, body pistols, explosives, and poison gas are typically regulated or prohibited.
