Subsector N of Dark Nebula Sector.
Description / Specifications[edit]
Kou is a well-established subsector, advantageously positioned on a major trade route connecting Kusyu with rimward Aslan territories.
Subsector Summary: 1105[edit]
Kou, subsector N of Dark Nebula, contains 30 worlds with an estimated combined population of 129 billion, a per capita income of Cr5,313, and a total economy of BCr685,503. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr1,072 through 26 starports (3 Class A, 8 Class B, 10 Class C, 5 Class D) employing 136,130 people. Driving this interstellar trade are four Agricultural (Ag) worlds, six Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, three Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and two Industrial (In) worlds. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 7 and 11). The highest technology level is 14 at Teayokhlae (Dark Nebula 1238).
Kou, subsector N of Dark Nebula, contains 46 stars and 340 identified planets; 15 monostellar systems, 14 binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 28 of the 30 systems (93%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, no Desert (De) worlds, one Garden (Ga) world, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, three Poor (Po) worlds, eight Vacuum (Va) worlds, and one Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) world.
Kou has an estimated population of 129 billion distributed across five High population (Hi) worlds, one Moderate population (Ph) world, 13 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, five Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Eikhilua (Dark Nebula 1236), Steisua (Dark Nebula 1135), and Airiyrlyu'eas (Dark Nebula 0931). The population consists primarily of 1 sophont group.
