Jugartha is a high-population ring of many small worldlets (planetoids AKA an "asteroid belt"), not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water, and are both non-agricultural and industrial in nature with a billion or more sophonts in population size.
- These worldlets warrant hazardous environment precautions.
- Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
- As a group of industrial worldlets, well-developed manufacturing and processing sectors are major business here. Manufactured goods are a major export item.
- The worldlets are, for the most part, unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Bengalaz Subsector of Theta Borealis Sector.
- Asteroid belts are in vacuum conditions and have no climate, but experience extreme differences in temperature between direct starlight and shade.
- It is part of the Verstand-Jugartha Colonies region.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Jugartha has a solitary primary star.
- It is an orange main sequence.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x8 secondary rocky worlds.
- x2 planetoid belts.
- x1 gas giant.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Jugartha is an Asteroid Belt mainworld.
The mainworld orbits within the outer system.
- It receives very low levels of stellar energy.
- The world orbits beyond the stars Jump Shadow.
- An exotic atmosphere superterran world orbits within the habitable zone.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Jugartha is an Asteroid Belt consisting of a few very large objects with diameters of hundreds of kilometers, thousands of bodies of a few kilometers in diameter, and millions of smaller objects.
- Asteroid Belt is the belt when it is the mainworld of a system.
- Planetoid Belt refers to any non-mainworld belt within a system.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
None of the bodies within the Jugartha Belt retain an atmosphere.
- The belt is in vacuum conditions, requiring the use of a Vacc Suit.
- TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
The Jugartha Belt contains many icy bodies. Multiple belt objects have frozen volatiles on their surfaces.
- Wilderness refueling is possible within the belt, provided a suitable icy object can be found.
- Water for the inhabitants is generally imported and is extensively recycled.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held chart of the belt exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
- Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
- Detailed survey data commands premium prices.
(Placeholder chart, asteroid belt.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
No native life.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Jugartha is busy and is relatively well developed. The system has been settled for many centuries.
- Information about the system is sparse.
- The resources of the system are being exploited.
There is regular activity within the system.
- Commercial traffic is frequent: ships regularly arrive and depart.
- Commo is buzzing with signals and private chatter. Communications are in Riftian Anglic.
- Multiple commercial navigation beacons will be active.
- A number of vessels will be operating among the other worlds and moons that make up the system.
Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.
The asteroid culture of Jugartha is the same as that of Verstand; the huge population of this greatly successful belter-spacer branch of Humaniti is highly influential in this part of Theta Borealis Sector.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Jugartha has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Jugartha possesses a Technology Level of TL–13 or TL-D in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovideo recorders.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, prototype collectors, advanced fusion plants.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-4.
World Government (G)[edit]
Jugartha is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.
World Military[edit]
Approximately 20 million personnel.
World Law (L)[edit]
Jugartha has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All blade weapons and firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: E (extremely abundant)
- Labor: 8 (hundreds of millions)
- Infrastructure: G (very comprehensive)
- Efficiency: +4 (advanced)
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: 4 (important)
World Demographics (P)[edit]
Jugartha has a population of 8,000,000,000
Urbanization[edit]
No information yet available.
World Culture[edit]
- Homogeneity: 9 (discordant)
- Acceptance: D (very xenophobic)
- Strangeness: 5 (distinct)
- Symbols: D (very abstract)
World Timeline[edit]

- 995-1065: the Second Survey charts the system.
- 1065: the Second Survey is published.
