Ealisyw Subsector is Subsector C of Harea Sector.

  • It lies on the edge of the Great Rift.
  • It lies within Charted Space.
  • It was originally known as Holdfast Subsector.

Description / Specifications[edit]

Ealisyw Subsector lies on the edge of the Great Rift.

  • The Aslan name for the subsector has replaced the original Solomani name in common usage.
  • The resources of the subsector are being exploited.
  • There is regular trade and commerce among its worlds.

Astrographic Features & Trade Routes: 1105[edit]

The following astrographic and commercial data has been determined regarding Ealisyw Subsector:

  • The subsector is a low stellar density region.
  • The brightest star is the yellow subgiant primary of the Ktauhokh system.
  • No trade routes are noted as crossing the region.

Stellar Distribution[edit]

A basic map showing the distribution and size of stars within Ealisyw Subsector.

  • The color corresponds to the visible color of the star, which links to its spectral classification.
  • The size as shown indicates both the physical size of the object and its relative brightness.

Note that the stars as depicted are representative. Any star, no matter what its size, is a mere speck within the hex it occupies.

  • Ordinary main sequence stars can barely be seen from even a hex away.
  • Huge, intensely luminous giant stars can be seen from across the subsector and far beyond.

Rift Regions[edit]

The majority of the subsector lies within the Great Rift.

Locally at least, a rift is an astrographic concept based on Jump Drive performance.

The highest tech level commonly encountered out this Far Along (spinward of the Third Imperium) is TL–12, though a few worlds may be more advanced.

Borealis Group[edit]

The Borealis Group can be seen as a bright, dense, noticeable grouping of stars in the skies to coreward-trailing.

Comprehensive Second Survey data for all worlds lying within Ealisyw Subsector is available.

  • The primary source material for all data is Traveller Map.
  • Other sources may differ: some elements of the data may be contradictory or incorrect.
  • Data is occasionally updated as new information becomes available.
  • Scouting missions gathering reliable, verified data can receive substantial payment.

AAB library archives contain expanded data about the following systems:

7 Worlds in the Ealisyw Subsector
Aihoilrual  •  Asulrea  •  Auh Eirao  •  Fortress  •  Khtioi  •  Ktauhokh  •  Uhela Ao  •

Note that some Second Survey data, though only 40 years old, may already be out of date.

  • Verified updated data is constantly sought.

Subsector Summary: 1105[edit]

Ealisyw, subsector C of Harea contains seven worlds with an estimated population of 90 million, a per capita income of Cr1,711, and a total economy is BCr154. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr0 through 7 starports (0 Class A, 2 Class B, 5 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 15 people. Driving this interstellar trade are one Agricultural (Ag) world, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, no Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, one Rich (Ri) world, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Ealisyw maintain one Tlaukhu base, and one Military base. The average technology level is 8 (with most between 6 and 9). The highest technology level is 10 at Asulrea (Harea 1702).

Ealisyw, subsector C of Harea contains nine stars and 56 identified planets; six monostellar systems, no binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 5 of the seven systems (71%) have native gas giants. There are one Asteroid (As) belt, one Desert (De) world, one Garden (Ga) world, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, one Poor (Po) world, two Vacuum (Va) worlds, and no Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Ealisyw has an estimated population of 90 million distributed across no High population (Hi) worlds, no Moderate population (Ph) worlds, three Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, three Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Fortress (Harea 1808). The population consists of 2 sophont groups.

Aslan Hierate[edit]

The Aslan Hierate has jurisdiction over six worlds with an estimated population of less than 1 million, a per capita income of Cr0, and a total economy is BCr0. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr0 through 6 starports (0 Class A, 1 Class B, 5 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 0 people. Driving this interstellar trade are no Agricultural (Ag) worlds, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, no Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Aslan Hierate maintain one Tlaukhu base. The average technology level is 8 (with most between 6 and 9). The highest technology level is 10 at Asulrea (Harea 1702).

Ealisyw Subsector is a remote, lightly settled backwater.

The coreward part of the subsector has been settled by Ihatei Aslan, moving to spinward along the edge of the Great Rift in search of new territories.

  • Settlement has been sporadic, largely occurring between the year 1000 and the 1060s.
  • The region has no official internal organization or governance and is not considered to be a distinct polity.
  • Almost all of the settled worlds are independent and non-aligned, and through necessity are largely self-sufficient.
