Dusa Subsector is Subsector I of Vland Sector.
- It forms part of the Imperium, lying within the Domain of Vland.
- It is located within Charted Space.
Description[edit]
Dusa Subsector (Vland) has no subsector government of its own, with its scattered worlds administered from adjoining areas.
- The rift systems were only colonized in recent centuries. The Imperium has not considered it necessary to change their governmental status.
Astrographic Features[edit]
The following astrographic features and trade routes can be found within this subsector:
- It is a very low stellar density region.
- The brightest star is the red giant primary of the Niirka system.
- A few of the subsector's rimward worlds lie on the Vilani Main.
Stellar Distribution[edit]
A basic map showing the distribution and size of stars within Dusa Subsector.
- The color corresponds to the visible color of the star, which links to its spectral classification.
- The size as shown indicates both the physical size of the object and its relative brightness.
(Chart sourced from Traveller Map).
Note that the stars as depicted are representative. Any star, no matter what its size, is a mere speck within the hex it occupies.
- Ordinary main sequence stars can barely be seen from even a hex away.
- Huge, intensely luminous giant stars can be seen from across the subsector and far beyond.
The Vilani Main[edit]
The Vilani Main, the mighty trade artery of the Ziru Sirka, includes those systems lying on the rimward edge of the subsector. The other worlds within its borders, lying within the Great Rift, are correspondingly backward and underdeveloped.
- High cargo capacity, low jump rating vessels move along the Main, carrying vast amounts of goods and commodities between its member worlds.
Subsector Summary[edit]
Dusa, subsector I of Vland contains six worlds with an estimated population of 590 million, a per capita income of Cr3,435, and a total economy is BCr2,027. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr34 through 4 starports (2 Class A, 0 Class B, 1 Class C, 1 Class D) employing 7,095 people. Driving this interstellar trade are one Agricultural (Ag) world, two Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, two Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Dusa maintain one Naval base. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 6 and 12). The highest technology level is 15 at Niirka (Vland 0422).
Dusa, subsector I of Vland contains six stars and 71 identified planets; six monostellar systems, no binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 5 of the six systems (83%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, one Desert (De) world, no Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, one Poor (Po) world, one Vacuum (Va) world, and no Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.
Dusa has an estimated population of 590 million distributed across no High population (Hi) worlds, three Moderate population (Ph) worlds, one Non-industrial (Ni) world, one Low population (Lo) world, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Keshiil (Vland 0221), Khulekii (Vland 0430), and Beshe (Vland 0622). The population consists of 1 sophont groups.
