Vech is a rich, pre-agricultural world with a moderate population of over a hundred million, but not yet a billion sophonts in size.
- The world's agricultural industry is growing and some economists forecast an explosion in this world's agribusiness in the near future as new agro-technology and a more capable labor force are imported.
- This is a rich world with a prosperous and thriving world economy.
- This world has high-grade living conditions with a good climate and a non-harmful environment. As such, this world is much sought after with large queues for immigration here.
- It is a subject world of the Korsumug Empire located in the Taltan Subsector of Mavuzog Sector.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or above the standard for Charted Space.
- This world is also the overall capital of an interstellar government with the massive extra trade and prestige associated with that role.
- This world contains an archaeological site with suspected high-tech remnants of the now-vanished Ancients precursor race.
- This world-system has a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships, which may be located on or off-world.
- This world has an exploration base, which is similar to an Imperial Scout base, capable of handling explorer personnel and exploratory starships.
- It is the (supposed) homeworld of the Jaibok
- This world is also known as Korsu, the name from which the Korsumug Empire gains its name.[2]
- Almost the entire population is made up of Jaibok.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x4 secondary rocky worlds.
- x1 planetoid belt.
- x3 gas giants.
Extended system data is available.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Vech orbits within the prime region of its star's habitable zone.
- It receives moderate levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Vech is a Meso World between 10,400km and 12,000km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.7G and 0.9G. The horizon will appear about 4.7km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Vech has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. A Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear and will likely be easy for most sophonts to breathe.
- It experiences generally moderate temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Vech has 75-85% of its surface covered by liquid water with a few large continents and extensive islands. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Satellites:[edit]
Vech retains a small trace atmosphere moon.
- It orbits once every few weeks.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
A simple map of Vech showing the major landmasses, highland regions, the oceans and seas, and the polar icecaps.
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Extensive, abundant native life.
- The world shows signs of extensive bio-engineering, dating to no earlier than 300,000 years ago.
- The Jaibok (also known as the Zerp) are a sophont minor race originating on this world. They are thought to be a genetically modified species.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Vech is an important world with a long history that remains a focal point of Mavuzog Sector.
The world was extensively bio-engineered around 300,000 years ago, and the primordial ancestors of the Jaibok were transplanted to the planet at around the same time. This work, and the Jaibok themselves, form the Ancients Site.
- To date, no ruins or artifacts from the Ancients era have been discovered.
Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.
World Starport[edit]
Vech has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- There is an associated Naval Base, hosting elements of the Imperial Korsumug Navy.
World Demographics[edit]
Vech has a population of 900 million.
World Languages[edit]
Urbanization[edit]
The Korsumug Empire is governed from the Forbidden Fortress, a sprawling city of citadels, defensive works, halls, chambers, annexes, private landing pads, hangars, barracks, and bunkers built atop an extinct tropical volcano. It houses the Assembly of the Risen and Heirs, the Admiralty, the Chancellery and various departments of government.
World Technology Level[edit]
Vech possesses a Technology Level of TL–13 or TL-D in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovideo recorders.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, prototype collectors, advanced fusion plants.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-4.
World Government[edit]
Vech is governed by a Non-charismatic Dictatorship. This is a continuation of the charismatic dictatorship, where the original leadership has died or retired and been replaced by allies or protégés. The justifications for the original change in government remain as well as the assertion of rights to rule.
World Military[edit]
This world is part of the Korsumug Empire.
- Deep meson sites are located throughout the system as a powerful defensive bulwark.
World Law[edit]
Vech has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All blade weapons and firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: D (very abundant)
- Labor: 7 (tens of millions)
- Infrastructure: 6 (limited)
- Efficiency: +5 (very advanced)
The Jaibok are known to make use of slave labor.
Trade Data[edit]
Importance: +4 (prime)
World Culture[edit]
- Homogeneity: 9 (discordant)
- Acceptance: C (xenophilic)
- Strangeness: 7 (confusing)
- Symbols: 8 (somewhat abstract)
