Shudusham is a high-population, industrial water world, which has 90% or more of its surface covered in an ocean of water and a billion or more sophonts in population size.
- The inhabitants of this world live on the roughly 10% of exposed land mass, in underwater colonies, on city ships, or similar arrangements.
- As an industrial world, this planet has well-developed manufacturing and processing industries. Manufactured goods are a major export item.
- Its economy is rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to rapidly improve barring outside forces.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Core Subsector of Core Sector in the Domain of Sylea.
- About 50% of the population is composed of Syleans.
- About 50% of the population is composed of other humans and non-human sophonts.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
This world is part of the Shudusham Cluster.
- During the Ziru Sirka, this world was known as Lauursha.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Shudusham has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. While the thin atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
No information yet available.
Mainworld Geography & Topography[edit]
Shudusham is 94% water, with only a few small land masses peeking above the ocean's surface.
- The inhabitants, about 12 billion people, live in 50,000 undersea complexes, each independent for air, water, and energy. Trade between these complexes consists mostly of food and manufactured goods.
- Raw materials can be gathered plentifully from the ocean's floor.
- Besides these ores, the ocean also supplies a variety of plant and animal life for food, medicine, and fibers.

Imperial Landed Nobility (N)[edit]
Shudusham, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of two members of the Imperial Nobility, who are charged with overseeing the world.
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
Shudusham has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Population (P)[edit]
Shudusham has a population of 80,000,000,000 sophonts (tens of billions).
- High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
World Demographics[edit]
World Language/s[edit]
- Anglic
- Sylean
- Vilani (language)
World Government (G)[edit]
Shudusham is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.
- The technocratic government has made some efforts in the past to encourage tourism, but these efforts have been largely unsuccessful because of the atmosphere and crowded conditions.
World Law Level (L)[edit]
Shudusham has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Personal concealable firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
World Technology Level (TL)[edit]
Shudusham possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land & Water: Grav belts and maturing gravcraft.
- Air: Greatly improved hybrid grav-aircraft.
- Space: Improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-1.
World Military[edit]
As with all of the Sylean Worlds save Capital and Yirsh Poy, Shudusham is demilitarised and has been since the Civil War.
World Economy[edit]
The government imposes a 250% import duty on interstellar trade, in an attempt to maintain the self-sufficient nature of the world.

Historical Data[edit]
During the First Imperium, Shudusham became home to about 200 million Vilani colonists, who settled at first on the surface. These early miners soon built large undersea complexes, both for better proximity to the ocean's resources and because the artificial environment was more livable than that above the ocean.
During the Long Night, Shudusham lost contact with other worlds, and in fact some of the undersea complexes lost contact with other archologies. More than 1,000 years later, when the Sylean Federation was established, it was found that linguistic drift had given different sea cities mutually unintelligible languages. Shudusham's rich mineral ores formed the backbone of the new Sylean Federation's military and industrial power.
In -110, Shudusham was the site of the signing of the Shudusham Concords, an agreement regarding the use of weapons in robots. More than 500 years later, in 404, a group of roboticists meet at Shudusham to share their latest technological breakthroughs. Shudusham was chosen as the site because of its historic significance and central location. The conference was a success; so much so, in fact, that the Shudusham Robotics Conference has continued to meet every ten years since.
