The Shaskis class ECV is a warship.
- It is a military ship and a Carrier.
- It is a venerated machine from another age, not seen within Charted Space anymore.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
The Shaskis is a typical Vilani escort carrier. It has enough fuel for a single jump 2. It carried a fair amount of armor on its reinforced hull. It was partially streamlined and capable of gas giant wilderness refueling. It carried four squadrons of Adip class Missile Fighters. Their single launch tube meant that their four squadrons could be deployed and recovered quickly for rearming, to maintain a steady weight of missile fire. The large cargo bays were mostly given over to missile magazines. It carried no marines, only a ten sophont security detail. The crew consisted of 11 command, 29 engineering, 19 gunnery, 131 flight, 20 service, and 10 security. They served in the Aasha Ziru Sirka for a very long time.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Never fitted with a spinal mounted weapon this class typically failed to destroy enemy combatants of equivalent size and class. They were fitted to carry jump 2 drop tanks for extended range when needed. Their smaller power plant left them less agile, but their upgraded sand casters and pulse lasers helped somewhat offset this disadvantage. Well armored for a carrier, they offered a safe respite for their fighter crews. Its five large missile bays were put to use in providing long range missile salvos. They were even less expensive than the light cruiser variants, exemplified by the Shibash class Light Cruisers. Crews loved the uncrowded conditions as each crew member was afforded individual occupancy staterooms. There were 220 staterooms for the 220 crew. A security detail were embarked. There were 14 lowberths for wounded and prisoners. No low watch was provided and the computer had no back up systems, nor fiber optical redundancies. When requisitioned in bulk orders these vessels were less expensive than contemporary classes at their tonnage. They fought at the Battle of Agidda.
