Subsector F of Core Sector.
Description[edit]
Mekee is a sparsely populated subsector marked by two stellar chasms and eight small stellar clusters, each of which is referred to as a 'county'. These are a disparate collection of small fiefs that have little in common with one another -- and the subsector seems to get along fine without a large degree of oversight.
The most significant system in the subsector by far is Depot.
The Mekee Subsector is defended by 3rd Fleet.
Subsector Summary: 1116[edit]
Mekee, subsector F of Core, contains 27 worlds with an estimated combined population of 9 billion, a per capita income of Cr4,769, and a total economy of BCr46,214. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr11,951 through 24 starports (3 Class A, 15 Class B, 4 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 2,745,410 people. Driving this interstellar trade are two Agricultural (Ag) worlds, two Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, two Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, two Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, one Rich (Ri) world, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Mekee maintain seven Naval bases, two Scout bases, one Way station, and one Naval depot. The average technology level is 10 (with most between 8 and 12). The highest technology level is 15 at Depot (Core 1518).
Mekee, subsector F of Core, contains 40 stars and 299 identified planets; 14 monostellar systems, 13 binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 24 of the 27 systems (88%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, three Desert (De) worlds, no Garden (Ga) worlds, one Ice-capped (Ic) world, four Poor (Po) worlds, two Vacuum (Va) worlds, and four Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.
Mekee has an estimated population of 9 billion distributed across two High population (Hi) worlds, one Moderate population (Ph) world, 16 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, six Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Ushra (Core 1016) and Shiirand (Core 1316). The population consists primarily of 1 sophont group.

These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr11,951 through 24 starports (3 Class A, 15 Class B, 4 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 2,745,410 people. Native Sophonts[edit]
The ruins of a multi-world civilization -- possibly a non-Human native sophont -- are found on Adguu Uun, Guun and Mukiid. There is a body of evidence that indicates that this species may have originated on one of the three worlds and reached the other two by sublight spacecraft.
