Mainworld Atmosphere

The lower atmosphere is a murky nitrogen soup; stepping outside without an environment suit leads to a quick death by asphyxiation. The civilian population are housed in cities on the planet's mountains and plateaus; here the atmosphere is a breathable oxygen-nitrogen mix.

Mainworld Topography and Geography

The majority of the world consists of liquid methane and ethane oceans. It has few large mountains but three enormous calderas create a trio of micro-environments unlike the majority of the planet. The Calderas are named Gidkugi, Uumeka and Shiikud. The bowl of each is elevated and has its own atmospheric zone.

History & Background (Dossier)

The Sher system was virtually uninhabited until the early years of the Third Imperium when it became host to the Core's largest prison system.

The prisons are reserved only for those who have broken Imperial law or severe violations of subsector and planetary laws, with a sentence of life without parole.

World Starport (St)

Sher has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
