Subsector A of Langere Sector, a border region of the Solomani Confederation.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

Langley's Solomani Confederation territory is a dichotomy of forgettable systems claimed mainly through border creep -- and the eponymous Langley, a major member world and centre of industry. Langley is also the access point to the Hanuman Systems, an alliance of human worlds with Confederation membership. The Hanuman culture has built good relations with members of the Hive Federation, to wider Solomani benefit.

Across the Hanuman Systems from Langley, in Nanoonil Subsector, lies Langere, the sector namesake -- and an obvious attempt by the Hivers to "mirror" Langley in more ways than one. Whatever long-term manipulation this is intended to further is unclear.

Subsector Summary: 1105[edit]

Langley, subsector A of Langere, contains 20 worlds with an estimated combined population of 28 billion, a per capita income of Cr8,797, and a total economy of BCr252,482. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr3,625 through 18 starports (9 Class A, 3 Class B, 2 Class C, 4 Class D) employing 616,400 people. Driving this interstellar trade are no Agricultural (Ag) worlds, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, six Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, one Pre-Industrial (Pi) world, four Rich (Ri) worlds, and one Industrial (In) world. Langley, subsector A of Langere, contains 27 stars and 203 identified planets; 13 monostellar systems, seven binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 15 of the 20 systems (75%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, one Desert (De) world, two Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, three Poor (Po) worlds, five Vacuum (Va) worlds, and one Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) world.

Langley has an estimated population of 28 billion distributed across two High population (Hi) worlds, five Moderate population (Ph) worlds, six Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, seven Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Samyukta (Langere 0408). The population consists primarily of 1 sophont group.
