Iasabr is a low-population vacuum world, with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts, warranting hazardous environment precautions.

  • Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
  • It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Aquaria Subsector of Fulani Sector.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

Stellar Data[edit]

Iasabr is a binary star system.

  • Both are red main sequence stars.
Iasabr has two stars in the star system.

System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

Iasabr is a satellite of a gas giant.

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Iasabr is a Small World between 900km and 2,400km in diameter. The world has very low gravity between 0.05G and 0.09G. The horizon will appear about 2km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Iasabr has a pressure of less than 0.001 atmospheres which requires the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Iasabr has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.

  • The surface of the world is composed of a crust of ice many kilometers thick.
  • The whole of the surface is cratered and covered in thick regolith and dust of meteoric origin, leaving none of the icy outer shell exposed.
  • Below the outer icy shell is a world-ocean of liquid water.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

  • Locally, detailed maps may be available.
  • Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
  • Detailed survey data commands premium prices.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

Iasabr is a backwater outpost with almost no development. The population operate and maintain the port facilities.

  • The resources of the system are largely untapped.

There is limited activity within the system.

  • Commercial traffic is relatively infrequent: ships only occasionally visit.
  • Commo picks up occasional signals and private chatter. Communications are in Zdetl.
  • A number of commercial navigation beacons will be active.
  • Vessels rarely operate among the other worlds and moons that make up the system.

Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date.

  • Verified updated data is constantly sought.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Iasabr has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World Population (P)[edit]

Iasabr has a population of 10 sophonts (tens).

  • This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without significant outside assistance. This may represent a transient population such as the crew of a starship, the final survivors of a dying colony, an advance team setting up to receive colonists, or a small outpost where establishing a colony is not the primary objective.
  • The population entirely consists of Vlazhdumecta humans.

Urbanization[edit]

A single central facility, lying close to the starport, with a few outlying structures and compounds.

  • Structures and facilities are sealed against local environmental conditions.
  • Almost all of the surface of the world is wilderness.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Iasabr possesses a Technology Level of TL–12 or TL-C in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)[edit]

Iasabr has no central government or substantial government apparatus; an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.

World Military[edit]

Privately retained security personnel.

World Law (L)[edit]

Iasabr has a low law level. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate. Portable energy weapons, body pistols, explosives, and poison gas are typically regulated or prohibited.

Trade Data[edit]

  • Importance: 0 (unimportant)

World Economy[edit]

  • Resources: D (very abundant)
  • Labor: 0 (none available)
  • Infrastructure: 0 (non-existent)
  • Efficiency: -1 (average)

World Culture[edit]

  • Homogeneity: 2 (monolithic)
  • Acceptance: 1 (extremely xenophobic)
  • Strangeness: 5 (distinct)
  • Symbols: 7 (somewhat concrete)
