Ghoearrg is a ring of many small worldlets (planetoids AKA an "asteroid belt"), not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water, and is also a low-population vacuum environment with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts, warranting hazardous environment precautions.
- Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
- It is a member of the Empire of Varroerth in the Dakoeng Subsector of Windhorn Sector, which is part of the Vargr Extents.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Ghoearrg is a trinary star system: the stars are very widely separated and each retains its own separate family of worlds.
- The primary is a yellow main sequence.
- The secondary is a red main sequence.
- The tertiary is a red main sequence.
Ghoearrg has three stars in the star system. Primary

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the three systems have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld, orbiting the primary star.
- x10 secondary rocky worlds (four orbit the primary star, three orbit the secondary star, and three orbit the trinary star).
- x7 gas giants (five orbit the primary star, one orbits the secondary star, and one orbiting the trinary star).
Mainworld Data[edit]
Ghoearrg is an asteroid belt mainworld.
It orbits towards the outer edge of the primary star's habitable zone.
- It receives relatively low levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Ghoearrg is an Asterioid Belt or Planetoid Belt consisting of a few very large objects with diameters of hundreds of kilometers, thousands of bodies of a few kilometers in diameter, and millions of smaller objects. Asteroid Belt is used when the belt is the mainworld of a system. Planetoid Belt refers to any non-mainworld belt within a system.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
None of the bodies within the Ghoearrg belt retain an atmosphere.
- The belt is in vacuum conditions, requiring the use of a Vacc Suit.
- TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
The Ghoearrg belt contains a few icy bodies. A few belt objects have frozen volatiles on their surfaces.
- Wilderness refueling is possible within the belt, provided a suitable icy object can be found.
- Water for the inhabitants is generally imported and is extensively recycled.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held chart of the belt exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
World Starport (St)[edit]
Ghoearrg has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Population (P)[edit]
Ghoearrg has population of 600 sophonts (hundreds).
- This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without moderate outside assistance. This may represent a large transient population such as the crew of a fleet of starships, the dwindling remnants of a dying colony, a construction team building a new colony, or an outpost that could evolve into a colony.
- The population entirely consists of Vargr.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Ghoearrg possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land & Water: Grav belts and maturing gravcraft.
- Air: Greatly improved hybrid grav-aircraft.
- Space: Improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-1.
World Government (G)[edit]
Ghoearrg is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.
World Law (L)[edit]
Ghoearrg has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: -1 (unimportant)
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: B (abundant)
- Labor: 1 (tens)
- Infrastructure: 0 (non-existent)
- Efficiency: -1 (average)

- Acceptance: 1 (extremely xenophobic)
- Strangeness: 5 (distinct)
- Symbols: A (abstract)
World Timeline[edit]
Major events that have affected this world and the wider region that it lies within:
- -3810: the Vargr discover jump technology and begin an era of expansion.
- -3700s onwards: waves of Vargr settle worlds across the region.
- -2404 to -2215: the human Interstellar Wars rage to rimward.
- circa -1700: Vargr expansion and settlement gradually ceases.
- -1776 to 0: the Long Night. There is widespread regression within the area and some worlds become barren.
- The Year 0: to rimward, the Third Imperium is founded.
- circa 26: the Empire of Varroerth is founded.
- 300-420: the Imperial First Survey charts the system.
- 995-1065: the Imperial Second Survey charts the system.
- 1065: the Second Survey is published. Information about the system becomes widely available.
