The Susa class Cargo Carrier is a TL–12 Cargo Carrier. Oberlindes Lines have no consistent naming policy for these ships and class is sometimes referred to as the Oberlindes Cargo Liner or Type CT class Cargo Carrier.
Description
Using the 1000-ton hull, the Susa is a freight transport vessel typical of the cargo carrier ships operated by Oberlindes lines. It has performance of Jump-3 and 1G acceleration. Fuel tankage supports 2 weeks of operations and one jump-3. Adjacent to the bridge is a computer Model/3.
The cargo carrier requires of 27: Captain, 2 Pilots, Navigator, 2 Sensor operators, 2 comm operators, 2 deck hands, Cargo master, Medic, Chief engineer, 2 assistant engineer, 2 drive hands, Chief Gunner, 9 Gunners. There are 15 staterooms for the crew, and 12 low berths for any possible passengers. There are 10 turrets equipped with triple turrets containing 3 beam lasers. There is a 6 ton space for holding any vehicles, but otherwise may be used for cargo. The cargo capacity is 301 tons. The hull is streamlined.
The cargo carrier is a standard design commissioned by Oberlindes, and is reflective of its total fleet. Oberlindes ships show no consistent system of naming.
