Likely the most diverse subsector in the Ruler of Five polity inside Gzaefueg Sector, 'oenk Subsector has a goodly dose of everything a Traveller could encounter. Wars, long and short, piracy, trade and commerce abound as all and more pour in from points beyond. It is here that the heaviest fighting between the Urzaeng of Ruler of Five and the Third Empire of Gashikan is staged. Yet, while military strategists gaze hungrily over the border at the Humanity bulwarked in Siigikhakma Subsector, Corsair activity divides the attention of the naval forces. Often, hard choices between answering distress calls from trade convoys and rendezvous with other naval groups stymies campaigns against Humaniti in Gzaefueg.
In addition to the above military logistics snarls, three Low-Population, A-rated Starports vie for the charismatic title of subsector Capital (Cp) currently held by Founuer on virtue of population and discovered, local deposits of lanthanum needed for jump fields have placed the belter population under extreme pressure to extract such and other heavy elements from the single belt and collect the hauls at the Beltport freighters bound for Industrial worlds deeper inside Ruler of Five territory. This again causes Founuer to be painted as a target for Corsairs and Gashikan strike forces alike.
Though 'soenk Subector does not enjoy the immense trade route found further spinward, it has a very healthy need for middling and tramp trader vessels. Holding the largest stellar cluster in Gzaefueg, the war trade and Jump-1 density of worlds is rife with all that the Vargr pack mentality, racial culture and Charisma-fueled fervor signature to the Vargr Extents. Many "free trader" ships of Vargr make cut their teeth in 'soenk Subsector.
