Tonnage / Hull	The Pride of Talokan class Battleship class is constructed using a 300,000 dTon hull built in an unstreamlined asteroid configuration. x20 primary airlocks and x40 secondary service airlocks are located around the vessel. The cargo hold is accessed by several large hatches with loading ramps. It has vacuum cargo transfer locks with grapples. The configuration of the hull typically stays in orbit and relies on service vessels.
2.	Crew	x2,326 personnel: 150 command, 450 engineering, 421 gunnery, 205 flight, 600 services, and 500 marines. Accommodations There are 1,166 staterooms. Double occupancy accommodations are available for all. Accessible areas of the hull are fitted with grav plates and inertial compensators and have full life support and environmental systems. There are internal monitoring and security systems throughout the vessel. Individual sections of the hull can be sealed off. There are multiple emergency lockers.
3.	Performance	The vessel mounts a Cobalt Dynamics Jump 4 drive, a Magnum Flow Reactionless 1G drive, and a Power Plant-4, giving performance of Jump-4 and 1G acceleration. The ship has an agility rating of 1 and an emergency agility of 1. It is a long-range design: the internal fuel tankage is sufficient for a single jump 4, with drop tanks for an additional jump 4 and gives the power plant 4 weeks duration. The engineering section has a main control room. Ladders, gantries and platforms give access to the machinery. The jump drive utilizes a hull grid. The jump drive is fitted with a jump governor.
4.	Electronics	Adjacent to the bridge is an efficient Model/7fib computer: with a full backup computer is installed. There are multiple holo-dynamically reconfigurable Workstations. The vessel is fitted with communications equipment, an extensive passive and active EMS sensor arrays, and an avionics suite, with terrain following abilities. Vessels in military service have advanced sensors and are fitted with backup commo and sensor systems. They have system range laser, maser, and radio communication systems. 8.	Craft	Flight Section x20 3 dton Air Rafts The Pride of Talokan class Battleships usually carry two companies of small Grav APCs for the direct action team to deploy and ex-filtrate. The vehicles are housed in a dedicated hanger. x9 80 dton Cargo Shuttles x80 20 ton Light Fighters with a dedicated launch tube for rapid deployment and recovery. Organized into eight patrol squadrons for combat space patrols, defensive missile interdiction, and close air support for marines on the ground.
9.	Fuel Treatment	The vessel has internal fuel tankage of 132,000 dTons. The vessel is equipped with a fuel purification plant that can refine all onboard fuel in a few hours: the plant is operated and maintained by the engineering crew. Droptanks Examples of the class in military service are routinely fitted with Droptanks capable of supporting an additional jump-4 for extended range operations.
10.	Cost	The basic cost of the vessel, complete without the subcraft, is MCr176,710.79. The vessel and its subcraft are standard designs. Detailed architectural plans are widely available and a MCr 1,767.108 design fee is chargeable. If multiple examples of the design are ordered all of the ships in the production run qualify for a 20% discount, which reduces the price per unit to MCr141,368.632 (not including subcraft).
11.	Construction Time	228 weeks individually, 182 weeks in quantity. Build times can be reduced by mass production and the efficiencies such processes generate, by increased financing, and by allotting additional yard resources and facilities to the construction contract.
12.	Comments	Standard cargo capacity amounts to 300 dTons.

History & Background (Dossier)

Designed and built for Talokan Armed Forces these planetoid vessels have extensive reinforcement and additional hull plating to raise the armor valve to defend critical systems. The ships are limited by the single maneuver drive system, which yields low thrust, acceleration and agility. The heavier missile bays would have been preferred to the swarms of missile turrets but labor shortages prevented the extra fusion tunneling. The fighters allow some pursuit of faster targets that try to get away. They keep targets occupied, hopefully long enough for the mothership to arrive. There had been some hope that more than a single marine battalion could be transported, but that didn't work out. They do carry shuttles for refueling and troop recovery. They have two companies of Grav APCs to support their marine task force.
