Ankirst is a low-population world with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts in size.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

This world is part of the Khouth Cluster.

Stellar Data[edit]

Ankirst is a binary star system.

  • The primary is an orange main sequence.
  • The secondary is a red main sequence.
Ankirst has two stars in the star system.

System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Ankirst is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Ankirst has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. The Thin Atmosphere does not require survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Ankirst has 55-65% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Under the influence of Khouth, Ankirst joined the imperium as part of the Duchy of Khouth in 5.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Ankirst has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World Timeline[edit]

Major events that have affected this world and the wider region that it lies within:

History-Era: New Era[edit]

Ankirst was settled after the Vargr Campaigns to provide a refueling stop for Imperial Navy squadrons operating along the coreward interface. Eventually it became a popular stopover for low jump craft traveling between Khouth and Mikesh. The entire world was owned by a single noble family, the Stanleys, though by the time of the Collapse it had dwindled to a group of forty four individuals gliding on their past laurels.

The Dzarrgh Federate found the world to be resource poor, and did not even bother to garrison the place against its enemies. Traffic passing through the system dropped off significantly, and some members of the family eventually left for the Regency to make a better life for themselves. Virus destroyed the surrounding worlds, but the same lack of traffic that seemed to doom the world to oblivion prevented infection. The starport has deteriorated in the last 70 years, but it can still provide unrefined fuel. The Rose Brotherhood has made a practice of visiting the world once in the while, and the surviving Stanleys are considered de facto members.
