Dysitin IV is an agricultural garden world with a near-ideal, utopian environment conducive to most sophonts.
- As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
- Its economy and population are rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to incrementally rise barring outside forces.
- This world is a member of the Trelyn Domain (the Duchy of Trelyn) located in the Coos Subsector of Vanguard Reaches Sector.
- This is a temperate world, with a climate of pleasant, average temperatures, considered to be an ideal or near-ideal environment by many different sophont species.
- This is a "low technology" world with technology competencies well below technology standards for Charted Space.
- It is a member of the Trelyn Main.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Dysitin IV has a solitary primary star.
- It is a white main sequence.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x5 secondary rocky worlds.
- x4 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Dysitin IV is a Meso World between 10,400km and 12,000km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.7G and 0.9G. The horizon will appear about 4.7km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Dysitin IV has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. The Thin Atmosphere does not require survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Dysitin IV has 55-65% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Dysitin IV is a former member of the Dysitin Empire, led by Dysitin Prime.
To comply with the terms of its Imperial charter, the Allarton Corporation, the Imperial corporation underpinning the Trelyn Domain, is limited to operations exclusively within the Trelyn Subsector of Vanguard Reaches Sector. Allarton officials and representatives may occasionally conduct business on other worlds of the Domain.
- Corporate operations in other areas of the Vanguard Reaches are conducted under the wholly owned Pan-Melesien Company.
- Corporate operations in the Far Frontiers Sector are conducted under the wholly owned Artesian Company, based at Yster.
Both subsidiary companies may be active on worlds far beyond their official operating areas.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Dysitin IV has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Dysitin IV has a population of 20,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Dysitin IV possesses a Technology Level of TL–2.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Runners or beast relay, the printing press, long distance signaling such as the heliograph and semaphore.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Water wheels and wind power.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Riding beasts and creature-drawn wheeled vehicles.
- Water: Sailing vessels.
- Air: Typically not available unless a bodily ability or ride-able flying beasts available.
World Government (G)[edit]
Dysitin IV is governed by a Civil Service Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government is another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy leadership influences policy. The government leadership may select the bureaucracy leadership, but not its membership. Usually the governmental leadership is divided, or incapable of setting policy and the bureaucracy provides a stabilizing influence. The bureaucracy may be the full government bureaucracy or a section with limited jurisdiction but considerable influence like the military.
World Law (L)[edit]
Dysitin IV has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (outside private residences or visiting starships).
