Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

Stellar Data[edit]

Runelma is a binary star system.

  • The primary is a white main sequence.
  • The secondary is a yellow main sequence.
Runelma has two stars in the star system.

System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

Runelma is the moon of a larger rocky world named Pargasu.

  • It orbits its primary world once every standard week.

The mainworld and its primary orbit within the star's Habitable Zone.

  • They lie within the zone's colder outer H- region.
  • They receive lower levels of stellar energy.

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Runelma is a Small World between 4,000km and 5,600km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.24G and 0.34G. The horizon will appear about 3km away.

  • Tidal stresses generated by Pargasu cause frequent seismic activity.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Runelma has a pressure of less than 0.1 atmospheres which requires the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Runelma has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.

Satellites:[edit]

Runelma is the moon of a large world.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

  • Locally, detailed maps may be available.
  • Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
  • Detailed survey data commands premium prices.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

Runelma is a corporate transshipment facility.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Runelma has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Demographics (P)[edit]

Runelma has a population of 600.

Urbanization[edit]

A single central facility, close to the starport, with a few outlying structures and compounds.

  • Almost all of the surface of the world is wilderness.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Runelma possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)[edit]

Runelma is governed by a Corporate Polity, having a single corporation with a typical corporate structure as a government. Essentially, this is a "company town" (or world). The typical corporate-run world usually has a single purpose. Examples include mining, agriculture, or other kinds of resource extraction. But rather than a simple base of operations, there are facilities for housing workers and their families, including hospitals, schools, and other infrastructure. How, or if, the children of the workers are incorporated into the workforce varies with companies. The corporation running the world may be a subsidiary of a larger interstellar corporation.

World Military[edit]

Corporate security personnel.

World Law (L)[edit]

Runelma has a low law level. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate. Portable energy weapons, body pistols, explosives, and poison gas are typically regulated or prohibited.

World Economy[edit]

  • Resources: 7 (few)
  • Labor: 1 (tens)
  • Infrastructure: 1 (extremely limited)
  • Efficiency: -3 (poor)

Trade Data[edit]

  • Importance: 1 (ordinary)

  • Acceptance: 3 (xenophobic)
  • Strangeness: 1 (very typical)
  • Symbols: 7 (somewhat concrete)
