Plazzhda is a non-agricultural, pre-industrial vacuum world, which warrants hazardous environment precautions.
- Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
- It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- Its economy and population are slowly growing and living conditions are expected to improve in the near future barring outside forces.
- It is a member of the Izrats Kriezhlas Unity in the Bilahew Subsector of Fulani Sector.
- This world is a "Twilight Zone World", a planet that is tidally-locked to its star. It has a hot side that permanently faces the star, a cold side that permanently faces away, and a narrow twilight zone in-between.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or over technology standards for Charted Space.
- Vacuum worlds have no climate, but experience extreme differences in temperature between direct starlight and shade.
- It is a member of the Fulani Main.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Plazzhda is a binary star system.
- The primary is a red main sequence.
- The secondary is a tiny white dwarf stellar remnant.
Binary Solar System
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x6 secondary rocky worlds.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Plazzhda is a Twilight Zone World.
- One side of the world permanently faces towards the star and one side permanently faces away.
- In the narrow region between permanent night and permanent day, the primary star eternally hangs on the horizon.
The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zones warmer inner H+ region
- It receives higher levels of stellar energy.
- The world orbits inside the stars Jump Shadow.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Plazzhda is a Small World between 900km and 2,400km in diameter. The world has very low gravity between 0.05G and 0.09G. The horizon will appear about 2km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Plazzhda has a pressure of less than 0.001 atmospheres which requires the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Plazzhda has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
- Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
- Detailed survey data commands premium prices.
(Blank map, trace atmosphere world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
No native life.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Plazzhda is relatively busy, with an expanding economy and rising standards of living.
- It is a member world of the Izrats Kriezhlas Unity.
- The resources of the system are being exploited.
Many businesses, organizations, and private interests are active within the system.
- Commercial traffic is frequent: ships regularly arrive and depart.
- Commo is filled with signals and private chatter. Communications are in Zdetl.
- Multiple commercial navigation beacons will be active.
- A number of vessels may be operating among the other worlds and moons that make up the system.
Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Plazzhda has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Plazzhda has a population of 90,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).
- It entirely consists of Vlazhdumecta humans.
Urbanization[edit]
Two vast complexes, located on opposite sides of the world, are home to the entire population.
- The communities are linked by efficient high-speed transit links.
- Structures and facilities are sealed against local environmental conditions.
- Most of the surface of the world remains as wilderness.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Plazzhda possesses a Technology Level of TL–13 or TL-D in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovideo recorders.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, prototype collectors, advanced fusion plants.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-4.
World Government (G)[edit]
Plazzhda is governed by a Civil Service Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government is another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy leadership influences policy. The government leadership may select the bureaucracy leadership, but not its membership. Usually the governmental leadership is divided, or incapable of setting policy and the bureaucracy provides a stabilizing influence. The bureaucracy may be the full government bureaucracy or a section with limited jurisdiction but considerable influence like the military.
World Military[edit]
Approximately 225,000 personnel.
World Law (L)[edit]
Plazzhda has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms except shotguns, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: -3 (very unimportant)
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: 7 (few)
- Labor: 6 (millions)
- Infrastructure: A (extensive)
- Efficiency: -5 (extremely poor)
World Culture[edit]
- Homogeneity: 6 (harmonious)
- Acceptance: 9 (friendly)
