• Life is trying on a world like this and inhabitants are constantly working towards developing a viable source of food production.
• It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Monway Subsector of Theta Borealis Sector.

Medkin is a Meso World between 5,600km and 7,200km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.32G and 0.46G. The horizon will appear about 3.6km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)

Medkin has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Respirator Combination Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

• It experiences high temperatures.

Medkin has an abiotic oxygen atmosphere. Oxygen is produced by photocatalytic conversion of surface materials (chiefly titanium dioxide (TiO₂)) by stellar energy.

• Fresh surface material is constantly exposed through processes such as volcanism, seismic activity, and erosion.
• The oxygen rapidly depletes from the atmosphere through oxidization with reactive surface materials: a rough equilibrium between oxygen production and depletion exists.
• The percentage of oxygen in the atmosphere varies according to the density of global cloud cover.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

Medkin has 25-35% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has a few small seas. Wilderness refueling is possible. Water for the inhabitants will be recycled.

• Commercial traffic is relatively infrequent: ships only occasionally visit.
• Commo is filled with signals and private chatter. Communications are in Riftian Anglic.
• A single commercial navigation beacon may be active.
• Vessels rarely operate among the other worlds and moons that make up the system.

World Starport (St)

Medkin has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.

The starport is currently being upgraded by the government of Medkin with the intention of revitalizing the world's economy, with the aim of offering Class D facilities by 1108.

• This is part of a long term plan to capture a greater share of the Oujda Trade, currently running between the Trooles Confederation and Oujda via Daloil.
