System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Irouklaud is a Meso World between 10,400km and 12,000km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.7G and 0.9G. The horizon will appear about 4.7km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Irouklaud has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Irouklaud has 95-100% of its surface covered by liquid water with only a few islands and archipelagos. Wilderness refueling is possible. Such worlds are Water Worlds or Ocean Worlds.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

Irouklaud is a member of the Roenvoegazdu Chain, an important trade route crossing between Ngathksirz Sector and Fa Dzaets Sector.

  • High cargo capacity, low jump rating vessels move among its systems, carrying vast amounts of goods and commodities between its member worlds.

  • Worlds lying on the Chain are highlighted in tan.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Irouklaud has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

  • Vargr starports reflect the variety of Vargr architecture, with many disparate styles of building, each having their own unique ornamentation and gaudy colour scheme, and all competing for the attention of the onlooker. Emblems for the major shipping lines and port facilities abound.

World Population (P)[edit]

Irouklaud has a population of 90,000,000,000 sophonts (tens of billions).

Urbanization[edit]

Vargr cities are lively and chaotic, full of garish colours and loud noises. Streets are packed and buildings press together. Vehicle traffic is fast and chaotic; the accident rate is low only because of superior Vargr reflexes. Zoning codes are rare, and districts jumble together.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Irouklaud possesses a Technology Level of TL–12 or TL-C in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)[edit]

Irouklaud is governed by a Charismatic Oligarchy, like a charismatic dictatorship in that a larger group has asserted their right to rule. The group will likely have better rules of succession than a single dictator and may last longer, or may transition to a non-charismatic dictatorship.

World Law (L)[edit]

Irouklaud has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. Most worlds with this law level may be an Amber Zone or Red Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors). All aspects of life rigidly controlled. There is no difference between the police and the military. This world is a full-fledged police state. Oppression is legalized, though not routine.

Trade Data[edit]

  • Importance: 2 (ordinary)

World Economy[edit]

  • Resources: 5 (scarce)
  • Labor: 9 (billions)
  • Infrastructure: 9 (extensive)
  • Efficiency: -2 (fair)

World Culture[edit]

  • Heterogenity: F (fragmented)
  • Acceptance: E (extremely xenophilic)
  • Strangeness: A (incomprehensible)
  • Symbols: B (abstract)
