Inchusela is a ring of many small worldlets (planetoids AKA an "asteroid belt"), not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water, and both non-agricultural and preindustrial in nature.

  • These worldlets warrant hazardous environment precautions.
  • Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
  • Despite the challenges of living on asteroid colonies, this settlement is at a moderate population status of over a hundred million, but not yet at a billion sophonts in size.
  • The worldlets are, for the most part, unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
  • These worldlets are working towards being an industrial world but lack adequate resources to do so. Local leaders are diligently working towards the expansion of this settlement's industrial manufacturing capability.
  • It is a member of the Eslyat Magistracy in the Trelyn Subsector of Vanguard Reaches Sector.
  • This world-system has a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships, which may be located on or off-world.
  • It is directly owned by Elliador.

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Inchusela is an Asterioid Belt or Planetoid Belt consisting of a few very large objects with diameters of hundreds of kilometers, thousands of bodies of a few kilometers in diameter, and millions of smaller objects. Asteroid Belt is used when the belt is the mainworld of a system. Planetoid Belt refers to any non-mainworld belt within a system.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Inchusela is an Asteroid Belt, where all the bodies are in vacuum conditions requiring the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle a belt.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

The Inchusela belt contains a few icy bodies. A few belt objects have frozen volatiles on their surfaces.

  • Wilderness refueling is possible within the belt, provided a suitable icy object can be found.
  • Water for the inhabitants is generally imported and is extensively recycled.

Native Lifeforms[edit]

None. The inner shells of the Eslyat habitats – the "seafloor" – are covered in coral-like syrkisya whose polyps form the base of the habitats' food chain.

  • These habitats emulate the environment of Elliador.

Although more populous than its homeworld, Inchusela remains ruled as a fief by the Tarf Royal family of Elliador.

This system is supposedly the location of a rosette of three small worlds, but this assertion is unconfirmed. [3]

World Starport[edit]

Inchusela has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

Inchusela has a population of 800,000,000 sophonts (hundreds of millions).

  • The population consists entirely of Eslyat.

World Demographics[edit]

The Eslyat are split between three subraces:

  • Chutin: Sub-race of red-scaled Eslyat. In modern culture, a caste of police, warriors, sports performers and explorers.
  • Magsin: Sub-race of green-scaled Eslyat. A working class in modern Eslyat society.
  • Selyin: Sub-race of blue-scaled Eslyat, today an upper class of nobility, scholars and merchants.

Inchusela possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government[edit]

Inchusela has a Captive Government or Colony. The world is ruled by an external government, there is no self-rule. This is a colony or conquered area. The local government is an oligarchy appointed by, and answerable only to, the external government.

Ellishmurha, Inchusela's current capital, was the first 30-kilometre habitat, and was completed in 820. Occupied by Inchusela's governor, traditionally the heir of Elliador's royal family, Ellishmurha is also home to the main nexus of the system's naval base, with repair yards buried deep in its half-kilometre-thick shell.

  • The Eslyat military consists of personal forces of the ruling family and feudal levies from subservient houses.
  • They use elite formations of Eslyat Commandoes to enforce government policies.
