Iizirgar is a rich world.

  • As a rich world, this planet has high-grade living conditions and is highly sought after by immigrating sophonts.
  • This world has a prosperous and thriving world economy.
  • Some of the sources of this world's wealth are well known, but others remain a mystery. Many speculate on these mysterious sources of wealth. Some even investigate them... to no avail yet.
  • It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Sydymic Subsector of Ley Sector.
  • This world-system has a Military Base, usually associated with military ground forces, which may be located on or off-world.
  • It is a chilly tundra world, with a climate of low temperatures.

Description / Astrography & Planetology[edit]

This system is part of the Sydymic Outworlds.

System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

Iizirgar orbits towards the outer edge of its star's habitable zone.

Chart Orbit HZ- Region Detailed.png

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Iizirgar is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Iizirgar has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Iizirgar has 05-15% of its surface covered by liquid water or ice. Wilderness refueling will be difficult. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are Hell Worlds or Poor Worlds depending on their atmosphere.

  • The world's small lakes are crusted with pack ice.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

  • Locally, detailed maps may be available.

Native Lifeforms[edit]

Primitive native life occupying a wide range of ecological niches. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date.

  • Verified updated data is constantly sought.

World Starport[edit]

Iizirgar has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)[edit]

Iizirgar has a population of 60,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).

Urbanization[edit]

Population centres are mainly close to the small seas, and so are rather scattered. These modern settlements follow the pattern of original colonization by small groups landing in promising sites close to water or useful resources.

World Technology Level[edit]

Iizirgar possesses a Technology Level of TL–8.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics, improved telephones, and satellite communication and data networks.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Improved geothermal and improved batteries.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
    • Land: Advanced automobiles.
    • Water: Triphibians and early artificial gills.
    • Air: Improved helicopters and hypersonic jets.
    • Space: Space shuttles, early space stations, and improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).

World Government[edit]

Iizirgar is governed by a Charismatic Dictatorship. Charismatic governments justify their ability to rule by simply asserting their right to rule. Charismatic dictatorships are typically young governments, coming as a recent change, and rely on the leader(s) to supply head of government.

Among the small states scattered across the planet have been, at various times:

  • The Kleizen Republic. Its capital was Brani City.
  • Hansu, part of the Haasi League.

World Military[edit]

World Law (L)[edit]

Iizirgar has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms except shotguns, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

World Economy[edit]

No information yet available.

Trade Data[edit]

Imperial long-range vessels headed into Gateway Sector use Iizirgar's facilities before making the long, high-jump trip to Galian Federation space. Trade ships from the Khuur League are also a common sight. The port is gradually becoming a centre for commerce in the cluster.

World Timeline[edit]

  • Rule of Man: Iizirgar settled.
  • -300s: The Sydymic Empire annexes Iizirgar, finding a bewildering array of city-states, alliances and leagues at tech levels between 3 and 6. The various states are quickly conquered, and some actively side with the Sydite invaders.
  • 672: During the Second Sydymic War, the Imperial Navy captures the cluster. Human units fight alongside the Sydites to resist the ground assault (though again, some states side with the Imperials).
  • 800s: Having drifted towards Imperial allegiance, grants of membership are issued to three small states on Iizirgar.
  • 950s: A small but efficient starport is constructed from the remains of the old Sydymic military port by a consortium of pro-Imperial states.
  • 992: Several states launch a surprise attack on the pro-Imperial Kleizen Republic. Members of the Imperial Embassy staff are killed in the fighting, triggering an Imperial intervention.
