Garzingnall Belt is a ring of many small worldlets (planetoids AKA an "asteroid belt"), not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water, and is also a low-population vacuum environment with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts, warranting hazardous environment precautions.

  • Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
  • It is a member of the Empire of Varroerth in the Grnouf Subsector of Provence Sector, which is part of the Vargr Extents.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

The primary is a solitary star.

  • It is a yellow main sequence named Kneng.
Lair has a solitary primary star.

Secondary World Data[edit]

The Garzingnall Belt lies within the outer system.

Chart Outer As Mw.png

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

The Garzingnall Belt is an Asteroid Belt consisting of a few very large objects with diameters of hundreds of kilometers, thousands of bodies of a few kilometers in diameter, and millions of smaller objects.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

None of the bodies within the Garzingnall Belt retain an atmosphere.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

The Garzingnall Belt contains a few icy bodies. A few belt objects have frozen volatiles on their surfaces.

  • Wilderness refueling is possible within the belt, provided a suitable icy object can be found.
  • Water for the inhabitants is generally imported and is extensively recycled.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held chart of the belt exists within AAB Library Data records.

  • Locally, detailed maps may be available.
  • Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
  • Detailed survey data commands premium prices.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

The Garzingnall Belt is a Danger World and is designated as an Amber Zone. It presents particular risks and dangers due to the environment or native life forms, laws or customs, or other conditions that are not well understood.

  • Visitors are advised to act with caution.

The once rich belt has been largely mined out. It supports a small indigenous population of miners, but most prospectors who come to the belt are transients or optimists.

World Spaceport (St)[edit]

The Garzingnall Belt does not have a spaceport. The Class Y Spaceport is an indication no port exists on this world. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.

World Population (P)[edit]

The Garzingnall Belt has a population of 50 sophonts (tens).

  • This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without significant outside assistance. This may represent a transient population such as the crew of a starship, the final survivors of a dying colony, an advance team setting up to receive colonists, or a small outpost where establishing a colony is not the primary objective.
  • The population entirely consists of Vargr.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

The Garzingnall Belt possesses a Technology Level of TL–14 or TL-E in Hexadecimal Notation.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early meson communicators.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, early collectors, and advanced fusion plants.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:

World Government (G)[edit]

The Garzingnall Belt has no central government or substantial government apparatus; an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.

World Law (L)[edit]

The Garzingnall Belt has no law in practice. It is an Anarchy. On many worlds, this by itself justifies an Amber Zone advisory. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate.
