Brianznav is a low-population world with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts in size.
- This world has yet to take off economically or otherwise and the population remains low for reasons largely unknown.
- It is a client state of the Zhodani Consulate in the Vanguard Subsector of Fulani Sector.
- It is a chilly tundra world, with a climate of low temperatures.
- This is a "low technology" world with technology competencies well below standard for Charted Space.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Brianznav has a solitary primary star.
- It is an orange main sequence.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x5 secondary rocky worlds.
- x2 planetoid belts.
- x1 gas giant.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Brianznav orbits towards the outer edge of its star's habitable zone.
- It receives relatively low levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Brianznav is a Meso World between 5,600km and 7,200km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.32G and 0.46G. The horizon will appear about 3.6km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Brianznav has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. A Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear and will likely be easy for most sophonts to breathe.
- The world experiences low temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Brianznav has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.
- Much of the surface is covered in glaciers, pack ice, and ice sheets.
Satellites:[edit]
Brianznav retains a small very thin atmosphere moon.
- It orbits once every few weeks.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
- Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
- Detailed survey data commands premium prices.
(Placeholder chart, predominantly watery world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Primitive primarily aquatic native life occupying a variety of ecological niches. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
- Native lifeforms are cryophilic - they thrive in low temperatures.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Brianznav is a backwater outpost with almost no development.
- It is sponsored and supported by the Zhodani Consulate as part of a gradual expansion into the region.
- The resources of the system are largely untapped.
There is little activity within the system.
- Commercial traffic is very infrequent: ships rarely visit.
- Commo occasionally picks up signals and private chatter. Communications are in Riftian Anglic.
- A single commercial navigation beacon may be active.
- Vessels are unlikely be operating among the other worlds and moons that make up the system.
Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Brianznav has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
World Demographics (P)[edit]
Brianznav has a population of 80.
Urbanization[edit]
A single central facility with a few outlying structures and compounds.
- Structures and facilities are sealed against local environmental conditions.
- Almost all of the surface of the world is wilderness.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Brianznav possesses a Technology Level of TL–4.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Telephone and telegraphs, widespread printing.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early electricity, hydrocarbon internal combustion.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Trains and early automobiles.
- Water: Clippers and steam ships.
- Air: Dirigibles, balloons, very basic rockets.
World Government (G)[edit]
Brianznav is governed by Self-Perpetuating Oligarchy. A single family or small group provides the leadership and important positions in the government. These positions are inherited by member of the group or their family members. The organization may be a monarchy, with titles passed to family members, or a plutocracy where inheritance of the family fortune includes government position. Alternatively, the organization may be a more typical government apparatus, only with positions of power inherited.
World Military[edit]
Privately retained security personnel.

Brianznav has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms except shotguns, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
