Despite being a world under Imperial control, this world-system's Red Zone rating has kept any Imperial Nobility from being appointed to it.
World Starport
Algine does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.
- Contact the Naval task force on entering the system.
- Landing on Algine is not permitted.
- Refueling is permitted only at gas giant P4, under Naval supervision.
- It I possible that Algine will effectively upgrade its port to 'E' shortly as it is on the verge of re-discovering flight and radio.
Historical Data
Algine is an exceptionally hospitable world, which is why it was settled twice during the Long Night, by Vilani around -2200 and by Solomani around -1000. Both groups of settlers lost their technology, but otherwise prospered. The world was put under interdict by the Scouts to protect its nascent civilizations. Rumor has it that the Scouts are currently evaluating Algine with a view to lifting the interdict.
World Timeline

- (-1000): Algine (Spinward Marches 2308) colonized by a Terran sublight colonization ship.[2]
- (-750): Algine (Spinward Marches 2308) falls back to TL–0 when a series of Vargr raids cause the collapse of industrial civilization. [3]
- (118): IISS discovers Algine (Spinward Marches 2308). Attempts to contact the pre-industrial lost Solomani colony there all fail due to the aggressive xenophobia of the natives. [3]
- (850): Some of the nations on Algine (Spinward Marches 2308) begin to technologically advance. These nations start to build far-flung colonial empires. [3]
