The Logos Minos class Fleet Scout is a recon starship.
- It is a paramilitary ship and an Fleet Scout.
Description (Specifications)
It is a vessel with 1-G and J-1 performance with a streamlined cone hull. The ship is fitted with fuel scoops and purification for ocean wilderness refueling. Larger computers and less energy hungry weapons have been tried in variant models. The larger power plant gives the navy some options for this multi-role platform. They are fitted for drop tanks which allow an addition Jump-1, beyond the single Jump-1 afforded by internal fuel reserves. Collapsible tanks can be carried in the cargo bay to further extend its operational range. The Model/1 ship computer, is wedded to simple sensors and a rudimentary flight avionics package. Ease of maintenance and reliability on low tech planets is valued over "whiz bang" gadgets which can not be relied upon in battle. The no frills approach is greatly appreciated, to keep the strain and work load low.
- It carries very light armament and a military defensive suite. The combat action center has three weapons control stations for all aspect weaponized photonic emissions. High impulse weapons which can cause intense localized damage are better suited, than missiles which are an extra burden on limited fleet logistics assets.
- It ordinarily carries no subcraft, no ship's vehicles, and drones when needed. The large cargo bay is used for a variety of functions. They can be used for fleet logistic support and to support deployed ground units. Additional quarters or low berths can be fitted to move additional personnel where they are needed. Fighting vehicles can also be transported and the streamlined cone configuration allows them to be landed onto planetary surfaces.
- It has a 4 sophont crew and no marines.

History & Background (Dossier)
A military aid package from elements within the Solomani Confederation decided to sell some obsolete TL–9 military surplus ships to the Jurisdiction of Nadon. They were built at a small local orbital shipyard, from a block grant designed to promote export industries struggling in the current economy.
