Mainworld Data

Stad is the first planet in orbit around the M2 star with an average distance of 0.04 AU. The planet orbits the star every 11 days. Stad rotates in retrograde to its star with a day length of 174 solar days. As a result the planet orbits it star 15.8 times per solar day.

Mainworld Size (S)

This world is a Meso World between 5,600km and 7,200km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.32G and 0.46G. The horizon will appear about 3.6km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)

This world has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

World Military

A Solomani Navy and Army base is located in the Stad system due to its proximity to the Third Imperium border and the large number of Imperial Navy bases located in the Old Expanses sector.

Stad has a sizable home Navy and Army that supplements the Solomani forces stationed in the subsector.

World Economy

No information yet available.

World Demographics

Stud was colonized by Solomani settlers during the Rule of Man. Owing to its history as a member of the Protectorate of Alba and its location on the fridges of Humaniti settlement, the population is almost entirely descendent from the original Solomani settlers.

Historical Data

Stad was settled by one of Solomani families that colonized the systems around White (world). Their political desire for extreme personal and economic freedoms led these families to settle worlds far from the Terran Confederation and First Imperium. During the Rule of Man Stad was integrated into the Second Imperium.

After the collapse of the Second Imperium and the beginning of the Long Night the Protectorate of Alba was founded and Stad became a founding member. The Protectorate was a mutual defense and economic treaty that helped keep the member worlds from experiences the same degradation that other worlds faced. In 198 the Protectorate of Alba joined the Third Imperium as a client state and was dissolved after the member worlds were granted full citizenship in the Imperium.

In 704 Stad was included in the creation of the Solomani Autonomous Region (the system is approximately 50 parsecs from Terra). In 871 Stad joined the Solomani Confederation as a founding member with the other former Protectorate worlds. During the Solomani Rim War Stad was too far from the fighting to experience any raiding by the Third Imperium and never fell under occupation.
