Introductions

I am an aspiring referee running a campaign in the vicinity of the Port Royal system. Randomly rolling for the system layouts is something I find fun to do, and the results of my rolls will be recorded in the systems my players explore. I also plan on respecting canon where it exists, but realize the random generators may not agree with my canon.

Philosophy on Canon & Non-canon

There are too many systems in the Traveller universe for a single individual to create canon for them all. This means that the vast majority of content in the Traveller universe will need to be fan created or it will not exist at all. As referees and fans we should embrace that reality and let our imaginations run wild.

But Canon is canon. If an official source has information it will always supersede unofficial sources. Contradictions in within and between official sources are woven together as best as possible. For example:

• In all official sources that detail the Pesacce (world) article, the system is colonized in 942, but a club/resort was founded on the planet in 757. This can be reconciled by making the club/resort a small corporate enterprise that predates the full blown colonization of the system.
• Mongoose Traveller and Mongoose 2nd both refer to the SIPAC organization that exists in the Galloway Subsector. The first source calls it the Solomani Islamic Development Partnership of Alpha Crucis, and the second source changes the word "Islamic" to "Inter-Faith." Both sources make it clear this is a successor organization to the Islamic High Republic. Mongoose 2nd does not attempt to clarify why the renaming occurred. Regardless for the out-of-game reasons they may have chosen to rename it the in-universe reason could be explained by an attempt to unite with the other highly religious organizations in the Alpha Crucis Sector such as the Consolidation of Turin.

Non-canon is to be respected as best it can. This is to permit creativity without fear of losing hard work. The general rule I support is nothing an referee creates should ever contradict something priorly created by another referee, and neither may ever contradict canon sources.

Alpha Crucis Detailing

Going through the Alpha Crucis sector to bring the wiki up-to-date with all canon. Adding in additional details on the other celestial bodies.

Solomani Confederation Baselining

Going through the entirety of the Solomani Confederation and ensuring all pages have their UWC and trade codes accurately entered. Fixing any obvious errors introduced by copy and paste. This is to ensure that any referees or players using the travellermap or wiki do not run into missing basic information or deadlinks.
