Description (Specifications)

Tyrian Lordship class Light Cruisers served with the navy of the Tyrian Lordships, a Rule of Man-era splinter state centered on the world of Tyr, lying close to the center of Trojan Reach Sector. Light Cruisers projected Tyrian power and protected Tyrian interests in the region. The few surviving examples of the class are historical artifacts housed in museums or kept in private collections.

1.	Tonnage	The design is constructed using a 28,000 Ton hull built in a Wedge configuration. The hull is fully streamlined, giving fair atmospheric performance that is further enhanced by its onboard gravitic systems. There are 22 airlocks located around the vessel. The vessel has sturdy retractable legs, allowing surface landings.
2.	Crew	680 personnel, including 392 Marines. 29 Officers, plus 23 Marine Officers. 259 Enlisted. Accommodations There are 340 Staterooms. All quarters are double occupancy. Accessible areas of the hull are fitted with grav plates and inertial compensators and have full life support and environmental systems. There are internal monitoring and security systems throughout the vessel. Individual sections of the hull can be sealed off. There are multiple emergency lockers.
3.	Performance	The vessel mounts a Jump-2 drive, a Maneuver-2 drive, and a Power Plant-5, giving performance of Jump-2 and 2-G acceleration. The ship has an agility rating of 1 and an emergency agility of 2. The internal fuel tankage is sufficient for one Jump-2 and gives the power plant 4 weeks duration. The engineering section has a main control room. Ladders, gantries and platforms give access to the machinery. The jump drive utilizes a lanthanum hull grid. The jump drive is fitted with a jump governor.
4.	Electronics	Adjacent to the bridge is a Model/5fib computer: no backup computer is installed. There are multiple workstations and control points throughout the vessel. The vessel is fitted with communications equipment, a standard sensor array, and has an avionics suite. It is fitted with backup commo and sensor systems. It has a transponder unit that can be deactivated on command. It is equipped with a sophisticated ECM package.
5.	Hardpoints	280 hardpoints. The listed battery groupings are standard configurations for the class. Alternative battery groupings may be designated for specific missions.
6.	Armament	The normal weapons fit-out for the vessel is: 1 Type B spinal Meson Gun. 100 triple Pulse Laser turrets, typically grouped into ten batteries of 10 linked turrets. 2 50-Ton bays, mounting Plasma Cannons. 2 100-Ton bays, mounting Particle Accelerators. 2 100-Ton bays, mounting Heavy Missile Launchers.
7.	Defenses	The hull is plated, structurally reinforced, and built with secure bulkheads and compartments that give it a High Guard armor rating of 3. 30 triple Sandcaster turrets, typically grouped into three batteries of 10 linked turrets. The vessel is not fitted with screens or other passive defensive systems. 1 100-Ton bay, mounting a Repulsor.
8.	Craft	Flight Section x12 8-Ton Light Fighters. x2 30-Ton Assault Landers. The subcraft are housed in dedicated hangers: the hangers can be sealed and have a total volume of 202.8 Tons. Vehicles x12 6-Ton Attack Speeders. The vehicle hanger can be sealed and has a volume of 72 Tons. Drop Capsules There are 2 Drop Capsule tubes and their associated loading equipment. There is dedicated holding space containing an additional 10 Drop Capsules.
9.	Fuel Treatment	The vessel has internal fuel tankage of 7,000 Tons. The hull is fitted with fuel scoops. The vessel is equipped with a fuel purification plant that can refine all onboard fuel in a few hours: the plant is operated and maintained by the engineering crew.
10.	Cost	The basic cost of the vessel is MCr35,033.626 Architects Fee: MCr350.336
11.	Construction Time	180 weeks (42 months) as standard. Build times can be reduced by mass production and the efficiencies such processes generate, by increased financing, and by allotting additional yard resources and facilities to the construction contract.

History & Background (Dossier)

Tyrian Lordship class Light Cruisers were Rule of Man and Long Night-era vessels that served with the navy of Tyr. The world had a long and bloody history of predation against other worlds and the Tyrian Lordships state was one of the dominant powers on the Sindalian Main. It rapidly came into conflict with Aslan "Second Sons" and the Light Cruisers saw regular action before the collapse of the state. A number of examples are known to have been captured by the Aslan and pressed into service on their behalf.
