The Tyrian Lordships are a small independent military faction, the remnant of a more powerful political force on Tyr.

Goals[edit]

They seek to provide security for their planet, though this is achieved aggressively and often at the expense of their neighbours.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

As well as a history of conflict against Aslan forces, Tyr has a long and bloody history of predation against other human worlds. It is one of the dominant powers on the Sindalian Main, and Tyrian raiders are greatly feared by neighboring worlds.

A few centuries ago, expansionists took hold of Tyr, beginning the Tyrian Lordships period. This rapacious kingdom began invading nearby worlds. At the height of their power, Tyr held the entirety of the Sindalian Main, as well as Dpres, Connaught and Solaria. The Tyrian Lordships ended in a bloodbath when exiles from Acis brought in Aslan mercenaries from the Glorious Empire.

Government & Politics (Leadership)[edit]

Baron Admiral Nagoomo was the first lord to commission the construction of warships.

In 1105, Admiral Ruglun Eo had capped off a long and illustrious career of raiding and piracy by becoming commandant of the Tyrian Orbital Prime space station.

Technology & Trade (Economy)[edit]

Their military equipment is TL–11.

Military & Intelligence (Force Projection)[edit]

The citizens of Tyr took matters into their own hands and constructed a fleet of warships. These were the best designs their TL–11 shipyards could produce. They used these vessels to raid and eventually subjugate the surrounding systems. The arrival of the Aslan and their fleets wrested control from their grasp.

Squadrons of these vessels would be accompanied by numerous low displacement captured civilian designs. These Free Traders, freighters, merchants and liners were impressed into service as troop transport, logistical support craft, improvised carriers, and refuellers. Tyrian ships of this era tended to carry as many marines as would fit. The light cruiser carried a small marine battalion. A squadron of light fighters was used for CAS and scouting within systems. These Lotus Blossoms tended to be useless against capital ships. The company of attack speeders specialized in quick planetary surface raids and provided cover for marine extraction. Each marine unit had a single elite squad of jump troopers who relied on the assault landers for dust off and recovery. They served as pathfinders and forward observers prior to planetary assaults. Defensively, the Tyrians used Tyrian Army Legions to protect their worlds.
