History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Dpres is a poor, non-agricultural and non-industrial Imperial Client State located in the Dpres Subsector of the Trojan Reach.

Dpres is the oldest inhabited world in the subsector and was the capital during the Second Imperium and the Sindalian Empire.

  • Since then, Dpres slipped into a minor ice age and the elected government collapsed.
  • Dpres was eventually conquered by Tyr (Trojan Reach 0608).
  • The Tyrians held Dpres for over two centuries, during the period known as the Tyrian Lordships, in which many of the monuments and art of Dpres were stolen and brought back to Tyr.
  • The occupation was ended when Acis (Trojan Reach 0809) deployed Aslan mercenaries against the Tyrians, forcing Tyr to pull its ships back from Dpres.
  • Fearing another occupation, the Dpres Continuity Government searched around for allies and eventually negotiated client state status with the Imperium.
  • The Imperium's policy with Dpres has been to contain the Glorious Empire and other Aslan clans rather than building a new confederacy around Dpres.

World Starport (Sp)[edit]

Dpres has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
