Ash is a low-population water world, which has 90% or more of its surface covered in an ocean of water and a population of less than 10,000 sophonts.
- The inhabitants of this world live on the roughly 10% of exposed land mass, in underwater colonies, on city ships, or similar arrangements.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Narya Subsector of Daibei Sector in the Domain of Ilelish.
Description (Astrography & Planetology) ==[edit]
This world is part of the Nu Polis Rampart.
Stellar Data[edit]
System Data[edit]
System:
- x3 Gas Giants
- x2 Planetoid Belts
- x6 Other Worlds
System Importance (Ix)[edit]
This world has an Importance Extension (Ix): of 0 (Unimportant).
- (The Importance Extension (Ix) ranks worlds within a region. It governs the locations of capitals and trade routes.)
Mainworld Data[edit]
No information yet available.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
This world is a Big World between 13,600km and 15,200km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 1G and 1.3G. The horizon will appear about 5.4km away. Vessels with only 1G of thrust should avoid landing on this world.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
This world has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. A Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear and will likely be easy for most sophonts to breathe.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
This world has 95-100% of its surface covered by liquid water with only a few islands and archipelagos. Wilderness refueling is possible. Such worlds are Water Worlds or Ocean Worlds.

Imperial Landed Nobility (N)[edit]
This world, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world.
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
This world has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
- The Starport Authority employee population is approximately 350 sophonts.
World Population (P)[edit]
This world has a population of 1,000 sophonts (thousands).
- This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without a little outside assistance. This may represent the home base of a sizable but mostly transient population such as the base of a major starship expedition, the last generation of a dying colony, the first generation of a new colony, or a large outpost that will probably evolve into a colony if not stopped.
- This world has a population of approximately 1,000 sophonts.
World Demographics[edit]
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The following languages are among the most commonly used here:
- Core Anglic: A major dialect of one of the two official languages of the Third Imperium.
- Daibei Anglic is also influenced by Rim Anglic.
- Vilani: One of the two official languages of the Third Imperium.
World Government (G)[edit]
This world is governed by Self-Perpetuating Oligarchy. A single family or small group provides the leadership and important positions within the government. These positions are inherited by members of the group or by their relatives. The organization may be a monarchy, with titles passed to family members, or a plutocracy where inheritance of the family fortune includes government position. Alternatively, the organization may be a more typical government apparatus, only with positions of power inherited.
World Law Level (L)[edit]
This world has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Light assault weapons, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
World Technology Level (TL)[edit]
This world possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-2.

Historical Data[edit]
This world was heavily contested during the Solomani Rim War. Heavy fighting between major Solomani Fleet elements and Imperial Colonial Squadrons based at the high population worlds of Nu Polis, Karukhi, Kimel and Oifuerr raged along the Nu Polis Run in the opening phase of the war. Nu Polis itself fell to the Solomani in savage fighting in 992. The remaining worlds of the trace changed hands numerous times until Imperial Fleet reinforcements began to arrive from deeper in the Domain of Ilelish. Nu Polis itself was liberated by Imperial forces in 997.
Following the war, the Archduke of the Domain of Ilelish officially renamed the Nu Polis Run the Nu Polis Rampart in honour of the Colonial Fleets' sacrifices.
