History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The Kisthdra first ventured beyond their system in locally-built ships without jump drive, on expeditions expected to take hundreds of years. Instead, their crews returned home aboard Vilani starliners less than a decade after they left. The realization that the stars had already been conquered, and that they belonged to someone else, crushed the collective spirit of Kisthdra society. They rarely venture beyond their world even now. They don't even agree to be part of the official census of their own homeworld, possibly a sullen pointed commentary on their deep-seated sense of inferiority and non-importance.
Imperial corporations control the system (the listed population of 50 references their permanent personnel); it is a hub on the x-boat network and the site of a Naval Base. Kisthdra are sometimes employed here, but tend to remain at home.
