The Primordials, also called Sparklers from the nature of their ships, are a highly-advanced precursor race estimated to pre-date the much better known Ancients.

History & Background (Dossier)

A small number of highly technologically advanced artifacts have been discovered by the Knightfall Project. These artifacts have been dated circa -600,000, long before the Ancients' civilization. The name for the creators of these artifacts have been tentatively coined as the 'Primordials.'
