Shore is an agricultural, nonindustrial world still lacking adequate means to expand its economy.
- As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- It is a member of the Luriani Cultural Association, a sub-polity of the Third Imperium, located in the Spearhead Subsector of Ley Sector.
Description / Astrography & Planetology[edit]
This world is part of the Darammi Cluster, part of the Great Ley Cluster.

Imperial High / Landed Nobility[edit]
Shore, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial Landed Knight who acts as an Imperial representative to the world, and the fiefdom of a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility, who oversees affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level.
- It holds the estate of an Imperial knight, the Imperial representative to the world.
- It holds the fiefdom of an Imperial baron.
World Starport[edit]
Shore has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Shore has a population of 3,000,000 sophonts (millions).
- This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
World Demographics[edit]
90% of the population are Luriani.
A significant minority of the cultural Luriani population are biological Solomani or Vilani. The Solomani, known as Veresti Dtareen (Terran Defenders) descend from Terran soldiers and administrators of the Rule of Man stranded during the Long Night, while the Vilani are known as Mmarislusant (Victims of History), and descend from stranded Vilani colonists. Both groups have absorbed much of Luriani culture and are seen both by themselves and the natives as being genuine Luriani.
World Languages[edit]
- Aaca
- Anglic
- Vilani: Mmarislusant dialect of Old High Vilani.
Aaca is short-form for Aaeebuany't' limmisdasca.
Verasti Dtareen speak a variant of Anglic known as Luriani Anglic or "Lurglic", while the Mmarislusant retain their language of Old High Vilani. The Luriani Cultural Association expends considerable effort to ensure that all three languages remain in use.
World Technology Level[edit]
Shore possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land & Water: Grav belts and maturing gravcraft.
- Air: Greatly improved hybrid grav-aircraft.
- Space: Improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-1.
World Government[edit]
Shore is governed by a Corporate Polity, having a single corporation with a typical corporate structure as a government. Essentially, this is a "company town" (or world). The typical corporate-run world usually has a single purpose. Examples include mining, agriculture, or other kinds of resource extraction. But rather than a simple base of operations, there are facilities for housing workers and their families, including hospitals, schools, and other infrastructure. How, or if, the children of the workers are incorporated into the workforce varies with companies. The corporation running the world may be a subsidiary of a larger interstellar corporation.
World Military[edit]
No information yet available.
World Law (L)[edit]
Shore has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Light assault weapons, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
- Luriani like their police close to the communities they serve, and there is normally at least one community verasrasti (constable) per 800 individuals. They are expected to be familiar with the people they police.
- In addition to the normal law enforcement services, the Iadtlu militia is available to deal with emergencies in the case of either serious unrest or disaster.
- Justice and punishment are handled by trained arbiters, using an inquisitorial legal system. Both prosecution and defence are normally handled by state-employed advocates.
- The Luriani do not use capital punishment, nor can the Imperium apply the death penalty on a Luriani world for crimes against Imperial justice.
World Economy[edit]

Trade Data[edit]

World Culture[edit]
The complex and seemingly all-pervasive nature of Luriani etiquette is one of the mechanisms they employ to moderate their emotionally volatile natures. The Solomani and Vilani minority populations -- the Verasti Dtareen and Mmarislusant -- adopted the same code of conduct.
