Kokkelen is a rich world with a moderate population of over a hundred million, but not yet a billion sophonts in size.
- This world has high-grade living conditions with a good climate and a non-harmful environment. As such, this world is much sought after with large queues for immigration here.
- This world has a prosperous and thriving world economy.
- Most observers think that the planet's economy and population will prosper further in the near future barring outside forces.
- It is a member of the League of Suns in the Jungleblut Subsector of Far Frontiers Sector.
- It is an Imperial Client State.
- This world-system has a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships, which may be located on or off-world.
- It is a member of the Trans-Blutian Main.
- Until the 800s this world was called Selaek.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Kokkelen has a solitary primary star.
- It is an orange main sequence.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x7 secondary rocky worlds.
- x2 planetoid belts.
- x4 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Kokkelen is a Meso World between 12,000km and 13,500km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.8G and 1.1G. The horizon will appear about 5.1km away. Vessels with 1G of thrust should check with local starport authorities before attempting to land using emergency power.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Kokkelen has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Kokkelen has 85-95% of its surface covered by liquid water with a few small continents, and a number of islands and archipelagos. Dry land is limited. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Kokkelen is an important member of the League of Suns, serving as its primary military center.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Kokkelen has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- The world is host to a Naval Base.
World Population (P)[edit]
Kokkelen has a population of 900,000,000 sophonts (hundreds of millions).
- The population has Zhodani, Imperial, and Vlazhdumecta heritage.
- Many families can trace their ancestry to pre-Long Night Vilani colonists.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
- Local languages descended from Vlazhdumecta.
- Riftian Anglic, a dialect of one of the two principal languages of the Imperium.

World Government (G)[edit]
Kokkelen has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.
World Military[edit]
The primary interstellar enforcement arm of the League of Suns is the League Survey Service, a scout organization with military appendages. Kokkelen is home base for the LSS naval/military arm, which has been stationed here for most of the League's history as a check against Alntzar. However, the facilities on Alzenei are now being upgraded to co-equal status, as a counter to the Descarothe Hegemony.
World Law (L)[edit]
Kokkelen has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. A few worlds with this law level may be a Red Zone and others will be an Amber Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors).
