The mainworld and its gas giant primary orbit within the star's Habitable Zone.

• They lie within the zone's colder outer H- region.
• They receive lower levels of stellar energy.

• They orbit inside the star's Jump Shadow.

Mainworld Size (S)

Odreitsvoz is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)

Odreitsvoz has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

• It experiences low temperatures.

Odreitsvoz has 25-35% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has a few small seas. Wilderness refueling is possible. Water for the inhabitants will be recycled.

History & Background (Dossier)

Odreitsvoz is a Danger World and is designated as an Amber Zone. It presents particular risks and dangers due to the environment or native life forms, laws or customs, or other conditions that are not well understood.

• Visitors are advised to act with caution.

The star causes interference, strange tones and noises, and heavy static on commo and sensors.

Odreitsvoz was originally colonised as part of the Driantia Steblenzhtia, but later seceded after a coup by a group of young nobles. This coup was ill-fated; arguments between the noble families split the planet into 30 nations within three generations. Nearby worlds were able to play these nations against each other to gain great market penetration. In 1084, diplomats from the Izrats Kriezhlas Unity assisted the nations with the peaceful formation of a world government, leading to an economic boom.

In 1197, one of the major companies discovered a rich cluster of asteroids in the adjacent Chejieb system. A dispute over prospecting rights led to fighting between security forces. Since the Odreitsvoz company was part of the government and had official status, the Chejieb company successfully gained the assistance of Chejieb government system defence boats. This merely provoked a greater response from Odreitsvoz, but Glenauran mercenaries led a pre-emptive strike. Odreitsvoz fell before Izrats Kriezhlas assistance could be requested.

This world is still occupied by Glenauran Signatorate troops.

The system is part of a cluster of stars known as Rom's Rosette.

World Starport (St)

Odreitsvoz has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)

Odreitsvoz has a population of 70,000 sophonts (tens of thousands).

World Government (G)

Odreitsvoz has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.

The worlds of Glenaura, Kusiahatai, Duneed, and Ancona have each been given part of the world to run. The multinational makeup of the occupying forces prevents the Izrats Kriezhlas Unity from liberating the world, since such an invasion would effectively be declaring war on most of the Glenauran Signatorate. The Unity has made very strong protests, with no effect.

World Law (L)

Odreitsvoz has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Light assault weapons, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
