Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance. |
The Khiirshag class Light Cruiser is a warship.
- It is a military ship and a Light Cruiser.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
This streamlined needle hull is a modern TL–15 imperial built light strike cruiser designed for deep penetration strikes far into enemy territory. The ship is designed for maximum jump range and all other factors are of secondary importance. It carries a compact meson spinal gun as its main weapon system. This is supplemented by ten batteries of triple missile turrets, a battery of 10 fusion gun turrets, one triple beam laser turret battery, and a battery of ten particle accelerator turrets. For defense it has a repulsor bay and a battery of triple sand casters. It has very light shielding and can carry a section of marines for boarding actions. There are a pair of small launches. The design lacks acceleration and agility. The low berths are for prisoners and the seriously wounded. Occasionally crew replacements and extra marines are carried for special missions.
Basic Ship Characteristics[edit]
Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary. [1]
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
It serves with the 79th Fleet in the Concord Subsector on the Solomani front.
