Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance.

The Lon Mardos class Light Cruiser is a warship.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

Capable of a single Jump-2 and 3-Gs acceleration and equipped with a meson spinal mounted gun, this ship is designed to content with enemy ships of the line. Because of their small size sacrifices had to be made to accommodate the main weaponry. It carries a pair of model 5 fib computers, for excellent fail-safe fire control from the CIC. The streamlined needle/wedge hull is armored enough to resist crippling critical hits. They are heavily compartmentalized with reinforced bulkheads. The ship is fitted with fuel scoops and fuel purification refineries for wilderness ocean refueling. There are 120 marines aboard who are deployed and recovered by a 30 ton away boat. There is a 50 ton cargo bay as well. There are 110 triple missile turrets firing as 11 batteries, 10 triple beam laser turrets and ten dual plasma gun turrets, for all aspect, close quarters battle.

The crew consists of 11 command, 50 engineers, 65 gunnery, 3 flight, 38 service and 120 marines. There are 146.5 staterooms for the 37 officers and 250 enlisted crew. The prototype required 165 weeks to construct and fit out. The production model was completed in only 132 weeks and at reduced cost.
