Epilus-Kashar System[edit]
The primary is Epilus, an ordinary white main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 6.26 Sols, a mass of 1.54 Sols, and a diameter of 2.198 million km. The inner system consists of (II) a vacuum inner world, (III) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world, and (V) a thin atmosphere hospitable world – orbital positions (I) and (IV) are empty. (VI) Kashar orbits within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. (VII) a large gas giant, and (VIII) a ringed small gas giant form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
Varmak Subsystem[edit]
The companion is Varmak, a dim dwarf star that lies approximately 2300 AU from Epilus. It has a luminosity of 0.00003 Sols, a mass of 1.11 Sols, and a diameter of 8,500 km. It retains no planetary bodies.

(VI) Kashar[edit]
(VI) Kashar is designated the mainworld. It orbits Epilus at a mean distance of 2.71 AU (405.4 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 3 years 217 days and a rotation period of 21.5 hours. The axial tilt is 14 degrees. Kashar has a diameter of 14,623 km, a density of 5.78 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 1.20 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Standard, Tainted, with a mean surface pressure of 1.32 bar and a composition of 77% nitrogen, 22% oxygen, and 1% argon, water vapour, carbon dioxide, neon and other trace gases. The atmospheric taint is caused by allergenic spores and pollens of organic origin. Approximately 79% of the surface is covered in oceans of liquid water: average tidal ranges exceed 0.5m. Mean surface temperature: 23°C. The atmosphere is active and strong weather systems driven by the star and the oceans sweep across the globe. The climate is seasonal.

This world is a Big World between 13,600km and 15,200km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 1G and 1.3G. The horizon will appear about 5.4km away. Vessels with only 1G of thrust should avoid landing on this world.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
This world has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
This world has 75-85% of its surface covered by liquid water with a few large continents and extensive islands. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Native lifeforms[edit]
Kashar has extensive, abundant native life, with organisms inhabiting every ecological niche. Their metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal. Some of the heterotrophic consumers here use inflatable sacs and colorful neon pigmented epidermis for territorial threat displays.

Kashar has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

She delegates most of her duties to trusted, hand-picked underlings, who in turn run what are effectively private feudal kingdoms. The branches of government maintain heavily armed paramilitary security forces to protect their interests.

This world has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology.
