Iyidlde' is a poor, nonindustrial world.
- As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- This world has few prospects for economic development.
- It is a member of the Izrats Kriezhlas Unity in the Aquaria Subsector of Fulani Sector.
- It is a mainworld which is a satellite of either a gas giant or another world.
- This is a cold world with an overall climate that is at the lower temperature range of human-congruous sophont endurance.
- A Prison World, exile camp, or prison camp for criminals or other exiles is located upon this world in addition to other points of interest.
- This world has an Interface Base, with similarities to a Scout Base, but also functioning as a Trade Base and Customs Facility.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Iyidlde' has a solitary primary star.
- It is a red main sequence.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x6 secondary rocky worlds.
- x2 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Iyidlde' is a satellite of a gas giant.
The mainworld and its gas giant primary orbit within the star's Habitable Zone.
- They lie within the zone's colder outer H- region.
- They receive lower levels of stellar energy.
- They orbit inside the star's Jump Shadow.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Iyidlde' is a Small World between 4,000km and 5,600km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.24G and 0.34G. The horizon will appear about 3km away.
- The surface is extremely rugged.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Iyidlde' has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
- It experiences very low temperatures.
The world has an abiotic oxygen atmosphere.
- Oxygen is produced by photocatalytic conversion of surface materials by stellar energy.
- Fresh surface material is constantly exposed through processes such as seismic activity, volcanism, or erosion.
- The oxygen rapidly depletes from the atmosphere through oxidization with surface materials: a rough equilibrium between production and depletion exists.
- The percentage of oxygen in the atmosphere varies according to the density of global cloud cover.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Iyidlde' has 15-25% of its surface covered by liquid water or ice. There may be a few small seas. Wilderness refueling is possible. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are Hell Worlds or Poor Worlds depending on their atmosphere.
- The surface is a frigid, hostile environment.
- The seas are crusted with pack ice.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
- Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
- Detailed survey data commands premium prices.
(Placeholder chart, predominantly dry world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
No native life: the world has an abiotic oxygen atmosphere.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Iyidlde' is a prison facility, utilizing the inmates as a source of labor: it has a reputation for brutality and harsh conditions. Although technologically advanced equipment is available, inmates are restricted to using simple hand tools to achieve their quotas.
- It is a member of the Izrats Kriezhlas Unity.
- The resources of the system are being exploited.
A few organizations and private interests are active within the system.
- Commercial traffic is sporadic: ships occasionally visit.
- Commo regularly picks up signals and private chatter. Communications are in Zdetl.
- A number of commercial navigation beacons will be active.
- Vessels rarely operate among the other worlds and moons that make up the system.
Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Iyidlde' has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
- The world is host to an Exploration Base.
World Population (P)[edit]
Iyidlde' has a population of 100,000 sophonts (hundreds of thousands).
- This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
- The population entirely consists of Vlazhdumecta humans.
- Approximately 90,000 are prison inmates.
- Approximately 10,000 are guards, support staff, and various inhabitants.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The most widely spoken language is Vlazhdumecta.
Urbanization[edit]
A solitary major urban center is surrounded by smaller satellite communities and large work camps.
- The population are concentrated into a single relatively densely populated region.
- Smaller communities are prison facilities and are off-limits to non-authorized personnel.
- Much of the surface of the world remains as wilderness.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Iyidlde' possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-2.
World Government (G)[edit]
Iyidlde' has a Captive Government or Colony. The world is ruled by an external government, there is no self-rule. This is a colony or conquered area. The local government is an oligarchy appointed by, and answerable only to, the external government.
- The world is a prison, run by professional administrators and housing long-term inmates.
World Military[edit]
Prison security personnel.
World Law (L)[edit]
Iyidlde' has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (outside private residences or visiting starships).
- Inmates are subject to severe discipline.
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: 0 (unimportant)
Prisoners are set to work to pay for their crimes, largely within plants and facilities extracting and processing mineral resources.
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: 9 (moderate)
- Labor: 4 (tens of thousands)
- Infrastructure: 3 (very limited)
- Efficiency: -2 (fair)
World Culture[edit]
- Homogeneity: 6 (harmonious)
- Acceptance: 5 (very aloof)
- Strangeness: 6 (very distinct)
- Symbols: D (very abstract)
