Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Iiash is a binary star system.
- The primary is a white main sequence.
- The secondary is a white dwarf stellar remnant.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been partially surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- An unknown number of secondary rocky worlds.
- x3 planetoid belts.
- x4 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Iiash orbits within the prime region of its star's habitable zone.
- It receives moderate levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Iiash is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Iiash has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
- It experiences generally moderate temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Iiash has 55-65% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Satellites[edit]
Iiash retains a single vacuum moon.
- It orbits once every few weeks.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Abundant native life occupying every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Iiash is a Forbidden World and is designated as a Red Zone. It presents serious risks and dangers due to the environment or native life forms, laws or customs, or other conditions that make it extremely dangerous to visitors.
- Travel to this world is prohibited.
During the early 700s many worlds within the neighboring Antideluvia Subsector of Far Frontiers Sector became increasingly fearful of annexation into the Zhodani Consulate. The leaders of planets across the region came together in a council, which convened on Acropolis, and after deliberation that lasted months ratified the declaration of the Salinaikin Concordance. It guaranteed mutual assistance and support in the event of outside aggression and served to halt the slow expansion of the Consulate.
(Chart sourced from Traveller Map)
By the mid 700s the state was extant and expanding - seeing the benefits it offered, the neighboring Kiefer system became a member in the early 900s and Iiash was declared a member at the same time. By the early 1000s the Concordance had reached its present size.
- The Concordance was named for Kalel Escott Salinaikin, its chief architect.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Iiash does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.
World Population (P)[edit]
