Description (Specifications)[edit]

Part of Hive Federation space, this subsector is notable for several worlds supporting colonies of the Aoao species.

The Aoao civilization was relocated to the world renamed Ao (Phlask 2716) from their dying planet of Nafarnipi (Phlask 2619).

Subsector Summary: 1116[edit]

Hlasken, subsector H of Phlask, contains 26 worlds with an estimated combined population of 6 billion, a per capita income of Cr2,690, and a total economy of BCr16,771. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr48 through 24 starports (3 Class A, 3 Class B, 9 Class C, 9 Class D) employing 8,960 people. Driving this interstellar trade are seven Agricultural (Ag) worlds, two Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, two Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, four Rich (Ri) worlds, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in Hlasken maintain nine Military bases and five Naval bases. The average technology level is 7 (with most between 3 and 10). The highest technology level is 14 at Pukuwa (Phlask 2512).

Hlasken, subsector H of Phlask, contains 37 stars and 310 identified planets; 15 monostellar systems, 11 binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 21 of the 26 systems (80%) have native gas giants. There are one Asteroid (As) belt, one Desert (De) world, two Garden (Ga) worlds, one Ice-capped (Ic) world, two Poor (Po) worlds, four Vacuum (Va) worlds, and one Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) world.

Hlasken has an estimated population of 6 billion distributed across one High population (Hi) world, three Moderate population (Ph) worlds, seven Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, eight Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Koraa (Phlask 3211). The population consists primarily of 2 sophont groups including one native sophont.

2 identified sophont populations in Hlasken
  • Hiver of Guaran (Ricenden 0827): 6 billion on 26 worlds.
  • Aoao of Ao: 16 million on their homeworld and four additional worlds.
