Description (Specifications)

It is a vessel with 2-G and J-2 performance with a partially streamlined close structure hull. Intended for fleet operations to screen larger fleet elements, the weaponry is binary and offensively configured with minimal thought for defense.

• It carries medium armament and a light defensive suite. The particle accelerator bay excels in destroying surface facilities in vacuum environments. The missile bay accounts for most ship to ship kills and can provide ortillery support for their reinforced orbital assault marine platoon.
• It ordinarily carries a subcraft, no ship's vehicles, and drones when needed.
• It has a 77 sophont crew and 50 marines.

History & Background (Dossier)

Historically the lack of computational power against more advanced imperial designs, has restricted sensory data integration and limits accurate fire control. Hopeless in ECM intensive environments it struggles to maintain command guidance to ordinance, autonomous seeking weapons are preferred with home on jamming sensor warheads, being popular in the fleet. In particular the vessel has a delay switching from ortilley ground support mode and free fire, ship to ship engagements. The lack of a point defense envelop versus missiles and fighters is a serious vulnerability. Only the armored hull, keeps this beast in the fight, which is how the Sword Worlds Confederation likes it.
