Falga is a barren water world with no overt population, government, or law level.
- It is covered with very deep oceans with less than 1% of its land above sea level.
- Any inhabitants of this world would need to live on the roughly 1% of exposed land mass, in underwater colonies, on city ships, or similar arrangements.
- This world could be populated if anyone had an inclination to do so...
- It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Noriega Subsector of Iphigenaia Sector.
- This die back world was once settled and developed, but the inhabitants have either died off or left, leaving behind the ruins and remnants of their civilization.
- This is a temperate world, with a climate of pleasant, average temperatures, considered to be an ideal or near-ideal environment by many different sophont species.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Falga is a binary star system.
- The primary is a yellow main sequence.
- The secondary is a red main sequence.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x5 secondary rocky worlds.
- x4 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zone's prime H region.
- It receives moderate levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Falga is a Big World between 15,200km and 16,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 1.1G and 1.5G. The horizon will appear about 5.7km away. Vessels with only 1G of thrust should avoid landing on this world.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Falga has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
- It experiences moderate temperatures.
- Extreme seasonal storms rage across the world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Falga has 95-100% of its surface covered by liquid water with only a few islands and archipelagos. Wilderness refueling is possible. Such worlds are Water Worlds or Ocean Worlds.
Satellites[edit]
Falga retains two small vacuum moons.
- They orbit once every few days.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Abundant aquatic native life occupying every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Falga is a wilderness, a wild and lonely place that almost never sees visitors. It has the remains of a settlement destroyed by extreme weather on its surface.
- Information about the system is limited.
- The resources of the system are almost entirely untapped.
There is normally no activity within the system.
- Commercial traffic is non-existent: the system almost never sees visiting ships.
- Commo only picks up natural background noise and static.
- The system does not have any commercial navigation beacons.
Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date: previously undocumented groups may now inhabit the system and maintain their own culture, forms of government, and systems of law.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Falga does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.
World Population (P)[edit]
Falga is a Barren World with no sophont population. It may still possess lifeforms.
Urbanization[edit]
The crumbling remains of a few urban centers are surrounded by derelict satellite communities.
- The ruins are located along an equatorial archipelago.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Falga has a die back Tech Level of TL–2.
- It's Tech Level was higher when it was settled but over time the remains have degraded.
- The world has no functioning technological base.
Salvage
- Remains on this world include worked raw materials and metals and alloys.
- These may be salvaged.
World Government (G)[edit]
Falga has no government or ruling authority of any kind.
World Law (L)[edit]
Falga has no law level. No laws of any kind are enforced.
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: -3 (very unimportant)
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: 8 (moderate)
- Labor: 0 (unpopulated)
- Infrastructure: 0 (non-existent)
- Efficiency: -5 (extremely poor)
World Culture[edit]
- Homogeneity: 0 (none)
- Acceptance: 0 (none)
- Strangeness: 0 (none)
- Symbols: 0 (none)
World Timeline[edit]
- 300-420: the First Survey charts the system.
- 995-1065: the Second Survey charts the system.
- 1065: the Second Survey is published.
