Subsector C of Core Sector, at the heart of the Third Imperium.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
Ameros has two distinctive features: the rimward tail of the extensive Lishun Main, and the Ameros Rift, a broad stellar gap that most starships can't cross with a single jump. The coreward portion of the subsector is dominated by the capital at Khizuun. The Khizuuni see themselves as the rock upon which the Lishun Sector breaks and Core begins.
The Ameros Subsector is defended by 69th Fleet.
Subsector Summary: 1116[edit]
Ameros, subsector C of Core contains 32 worlds with an estimated population of 59 billion, a per capita income of Cr10,404, and a total economy is BCr617,304. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr3,920 through 28 starports (3 Class A, 19 Class B, 4 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 676,580 people. Driving this interstellar trade are two Agricultural (Ag) worlds, two Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, two Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, two Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, four Rich (Ri) worlds, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in Ameros maintain ten Scout bases, nine Naval bases, and one Way station. The average technology level is 10 (with most between 8 and 13). The highest technology level is 15 at Arnaki (Core 2408).
Ameros, subsector C of Core contains 46 stars and 343 identified planets; 19 monostellar systems, 12 binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 24 of the 32 systems (75%) have native gas giants. There are four Asteroid (As) belts, no Desert (De) worlds, two Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, two Poor (Po) worlds, seven Vacuum (Va) worlds, and two Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.
Ameros has an estimated population of 59 billion distributed across three High population (Hi) worlds, five Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 15 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, seven Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Nimluin (Core 2209). The population consists of 1 sophont groups.
